Walkfit Platinum OrthoticsThis is my second pair. For me they are wonderful. I have tried both custom-made and over-the counter orthotics, and the Walkfit Platinum have been the first that have relieved my dropped metatarsal condition. They provide wonderful comfort for me. It is important to insert these in well-fitting shoes to allow feet to expand and breath. 5Effective for falling archesThis product works effectively in reducing pain associated with plantar fasciitis. Since my shoes didn't provide sufficient arch support, I had pain in my heel during and after long walks. These inserts are so very convenient because I transfer them between my tennis shoes and my loafers. It took a minute for me to get used to wearing them because it felt like something was stuck inside my shoe. The pain in my heel was relieved almost immediately. There is an assortment of heights (H,L,M) so I worked on it until I found the comfort zone. 5PainfulBought for my husband who has planter fasciitis that I thought would help him but in fact did the opposite. It was very painful for him and he actually did more damage to his foot as it does not fit well to the shape of his foot and he sprained his ankle as hs foot slipped from the insole. 1HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESEI've been using these for years and replace them about every 1 to 2 years depending upon wear and tear. I use them in my walking shoes. They help support my body as I have few muscles left after a bout of near deadly anorexia. 5This is what they should cost even with fantastic engineering. I went to the Good feet store and they wanted $250.00! for pretty much the same thing. 5Really helped my plantar faciitisUpdate February 2018: A few months after the review below and wearing these orthotics faithfully - my plantar fasciitis was CURED. They are the only reason I was able to walk miles per day around New York City a week after I finally started wearing them. My plantar fasciitis remains cured to this day as long as I use these inserts for long walks. I tried everything under the sun and I kick myself for not using these sooner. Thank you!I had an awful case of plantar fasciitis in both feet. After visiting a podiatrist and doing the recommended stretches, as well as no longer wearing cute shoes without any arch support, my right foot improved, but my left foot got worse. I bought these orthotics based on my Dr's recommendation 6 months ago and tried them out for an hour and then threw them in a drawer. I would have had to remove the entire insole in my shoes to use them, and I didn't want to do that. They were also very uncomfortable. Since then I've tried every insert possible. I bought $150 shoes that were supposedly "the best" for plantar fasciitis. I bought a foot rocker to stretch my foot and calves. My left foot just got worse and worse. This past weekend, I bought a new pair of shoes and decided to throw these orthotics in them (there was room in the new shoe without removing the insole) and wear them for a day. At first, I hated it. But, then as they warmed up they softened a bit. I've been wearing them for 3 days now, and when I wake up in the morning, I don't hobble nearly as bad and my left foot isn't nearly as painful. I can stretch my foot without it feeling like I'm pulling a muscle. I'm amazed at the improvement in 3 days, when everything else I've tried for MONTHS gave me no relief at all. So, my advice to you is to really give these a try, even though they may be uncomfortable at first. I'm really looking forward to further improvement with the use of these. 4Flexible solution, quality materials.I bought these after reading the Amazon reviews. These are well made and come with a variety of inserts to change the degree of arch. My only issue wasn't with the product, but with most of my shoes, which do not leave much room between the sole and in the part of the shoe you lace up. Fortunately, they fit my hiking boots and Costco sneakers.I picked up a useful tip from one reviewer who said he rolls a golf ball under his barefoot at night. It really helps. 4Relief after a year of plantar fasciitisI had excruciatingly painful plantar fasciitis for a year. I am an operating room nurse and am on my feet on a hard floor for most of my shift. I could barely make it through my shift sometimes before Walkfit inserts. I've tried expensive shoes and other inserts but nothing compared to the relief I feel with Walkfit! It definitely takes some time to get used to these, but if you slowly increase the wear time you can be in them all day before long. Now I am buying another pair for at home and one for my daughter. I really believe these inserts also help with knee, hip and back pain as well because they keep your body aligned. 5Feelin' GREAT !!I decided to wait a week before reviewing just to be sure it wasn't a fluke, it wasn't!! For many months I've been limping around especially after being on my feet for a while, walking, doing yard work, etc. The Dr. said it was Hip Arthritis and sent me to Physical Therapy .... for me, a total waste of time and money. Saw the infomercial on TV one night and decided to give WalkFit a try. As much as I hate to use the word, they've been a Miracle! They are not exactly like a custom-made orthotics but they work pretty well. With a custom-made, you have to move the pair from shoe to shoe. So, having several of these makes it nice. I wear many different shoes, from tennis shoes, golf, bowling, boots,and dress shoes. So, these are great for me. Also, they are fairly easy to move from one pair of shoes to another, so if you want to just do that, these are great. I like the fact that these are not full-foot length - it gives me more room in my shoes for my toes. 5
