Love this tea!This is my favorite morning tea and I'm glad to have gotten it at a decent price, even coming from England! The date on my tea is far enough ahead that it won't go bad before I can use it all. In case you don't know, I've read that you should not freeze tea as it takes away some of the flavor, so having a good best by date is important. Also, this is 3 sealed foil bags of 80 tea bags, so you don't have all of them exposed to air once you open the package.5Excellent serviceSpent many years in Britain and this was my regular tea. Since returning to the States I've really missed my Typhoo. Discovered this company last week on Amazon Marketplace and immediately ordered two boxes. I figured it would be well worth the wait, coming from Wales to Oregon, to have my favorite cuppa again. Couldn't have been more surprised or pleased to get my order in 6 days...!!!! Wonderful tea, most excellent service. Thanks so much...5Great value for money- read my reviewI drink a lot of British tea including PG Tips, Harrods, Williamson, etc. Typhoo is not the best of the bunch, BUT it is an amazing good value for money and a good tea in its own right. I actually drink Typhoo more than any other tea because the price for the number of bags is so favorable. On top of that it is a lot better than Lipton Black Pearl, Stash, Tazo, etc. All in all, if you like a stiff black tea, this is one you should have in rotation.4Affordable, excellent, classic English-style tea.My kind of tea. Strong, malty, not bitter if brewed correctly. And it's incredibly affordable, compared to coffee. This tea is meant to be drunk with milk and sugar (I believe) and its body and depth stand up to both. It even makes great iced tea, if that's your thing. The foil wrapped sections divide the 240 bags into manageable portions, and my recent purchase's box (June 2018) states it's best used time is before May 2020. So i'm confident it'll be fresh whenever I finish it. Everyone has their favourite tea, of course, but I prefer this to PG tips - and just about anything else. (Except for an estate-grown Assamese tea I got from a friend when I lived in India.5My favorite Tea (tied with PG Tips!)I love Typhoo! My delivery arrived about an hour ago (as promised) and I tore into the box with urgency to make myself a cup of my favorite tea! I love the stronger blend, robust flavor and satisfying after taste only Typhoo gives! Cup after cup it is consistent, I never get tired of it, and the quality of the blend never varies! I also love PG Tips; but notice that sometimes the blend isn't always consistent and the strength varies; but I accept this as I love the flavor the vast majority of the time...but Typhoo ALWAYS hits the spot! From first tea bag or pot full to the last Typhoo is always the same great cuppa without fail.If I couldn't have both brands and I had to choose just one for the rest of my life it would be Typhoo! Sorry PG...but Typhoo put the 'T' in Tea:)Now if only Typhoo would only offer their other products and fan stuff in the U.S. like their cups, collectables, ect. I personally want a Typhoo tea cup!Buy this tea and you won't be disappointed!5If you like real English tea, then you already know...Although Typhoo is an everyday tea in England, or at least it was when I lived there many years ago, I've only seen it in specialty stores here in the U.S. like Cost Plus or little "Tea Shoppe" kinds of places, so I was glad when I found it available here on Amazon. This is the real thing, and arrived in great condition. I tend to alternate Typhoo with PG Tips, but Typhoo sort of stands out for me, especially this 240 tea bag box, because it comes in foil-sealed packs of about 40 bags each, so they'll stay fresher longer; PG Tips just comes in it's cardboard box - at least the only ones I can get do.If you like English breakfast type of teas, you need to try this one!5Superb tasting teaOf all of the bagged teas I have tried, Ty-Phoo tea in the red box is the best I've run across. The tea is tasty, robust, and makes the perfect cup of tea day after day. I follow the instructions and steep with boiling water for 5 minutes and it's perfect everytime!I did try Ty-Phoo Gold box teabags and it's as wimpy as PG Tips or Lipton. Blah.I highly recommend you buy a box and see for yourself. It's just a shame that Ty-Phoo has not set proper US distribution of this terrific tea. You can buy here on Amazon and at some specialty tea stores. In my opinion, it should be all of the grocery stores!5This is a fine balck tea and I was happy to find it ...I came to appreciate Typhoo and Pee Gee Tips when I went to graduate school in the UK but have been unable to get Typhoo back in the US for several years. This is a fine balck tea and I was happy to find it on Amazon in such a large quantity at a great price.5An excellent and delicious value in classic British tea.This is a great, classic British breakfast tea. Sure, I could ve gone with PG Tips or Twinings, but I decided on the underdog of British teas. The flavor is even and smooth all-around, and in a completely different league than American varieties sold in grocery stores. Absolutely irresistible with cream and sugar, along with a hard roll/French bread. May not be the top end stuff, but it s the stuff your mum would make a cuppa with.5**UPDATE** I only have 2 favorite teas & this is one!UPDATING to add one small note: Although this tea uses the same round and flat teabag as does Tetley's, this one will leave a dust residue. After having to strain a couple cups of my tea, I have started making sure to shake the teabag before I use it. Not a big deal, but just wanted to give other users a heads up and see if I am the only one who noticed (or was bothered by) this.As a serious tea drinker (I gave up coffee for tea), I have been drinking Tetley for months. I usually only used Typhoo loose tea for when making more than one cup. This time, I tried the bags and am hooked. The taste is different from Tetley (which I still love) because it brews stronger and richer. I normally use 2 bags of Tetley for about a 10-ounce cup; I only need 1 bag of Typhoo. Like I said, the taste is slightly different (almost like the difference between Yuban and Dark Magic blends) but both are awesome. I will probably start keeping both brands on hand and alternate between them.I might have to stock up on this 240 quantity. Tetley has gone up a little bit in pricing.5
