Customer Reviews

Good value and feels goodLove these. I got PRK surgery a month ago and was told to use the preservative free ones as much as I can (and to rarely use the preservative bottles). So, I bought a 60 count box of these here. Once I realized I can put the cap back on and use it the rest of the liquid in the vial I realized I can get almost 7-8 uses from one vial (if I put one drop in each eye per use). Since I try to use every hour or so, 1-2 vials can last a whole day. That's about $0.84 a day or $25 a month, which isn't bad since you're eyes are important and it's much cheaper than the steroid eye drops I have to use.I bought 60 count preservative-free vials of another well-known brand eye drops that are often used after Lasik or PRK surgery. They run about $0.41 per vial but they are only 0.4mL a vial versus Systane's 0.7mL a vial. I end up having to use 3 per day rather than 2 vials of Systane a day. So, the cost is 6 cents per 1/10 of a mL for Systane, and 10 cents per 1/10 of a mL of the other brand.I also think Systane feels more soothing on my eyes, but other days I feel like there's no difference. If I had to gripe about one thing, it's that Systane seems stickier and leaves residue on your eyelashes, especially in the morning. But I use a little vaseline or coconut oil on my eyelashes to clean them everyday anyway, so it's not a problem for me. Besides, I think the stickiness is a good thing. I saw a pretty good Youtube video on what Systane is and how it works:[...] 5Not too salty, doesn't burn eyes, overall it's best PF I have foundAfter a long and ongoing battle with DED and trying almost every drop out there, I always come back to these. If the relief lasted a bit longer I would give 5 stars. Even though they help, don't expect a miracle, I still need to wear wrap sunglasses almost 24/7 and take many eye breaks etc. That being said, I could not live without these eye drops and carry them with me 24 hours, a day 7 days a week (along with my thicker tears that I use before big events). These drops are a part of my "lifeline" eye kit that I don't leave home without. If you also have DED I highly recommend getting a small makeup bag or even a zip up wallet like this that you can keep all your eye gear in and keep it super clean. It's a difficult battle but there are ways to make it easier, and you're not alone! I had been using the wrong eye drop for almost a year (it was high in salt and burned my eyes slowly over the course of the day) and it made my life so much worse and I had no idea and thought my disease was progressing, really my eye drops were most of the problem! My point is, don't give up, try this drop if you haven't already. Not all eyes are created equal so if this doesn't work, there is one out there for you! 4Excellent productWhen I got eye surgery done, my surgeon recommended I buy these drops. I found them to be a little bit pricey but then again.. my eyes are 10000000% worth the $.These drops are absolutely amazing! They are thick enough to leave your eye super moist for a long time but not thick enough where your vision gets blurry. Each individual container of drops lasts be about 2-3 days. This box lasts me about a month and a half. I would recommend this product to anyone who suffers from dry eye or will be/has gone through eye surgery. One year later, and I m stjll using these drops ! 5I researched a ton of brands and options beforehand but ultimately I bought a variety of types and brands and figured I d use them all the first couple weeks and find what I liked best (I tried TheraTearsI recently had Lasik surgery and was told to buy a bunch of eye drops for the recovery.. I researched a ton of brands and options beforehand but ultimately I bought a variety of types and brands and figured I d use them all the first couple weeks and find what I liked best (I tried TheraTears, Refresh Optive, Refresh Celluvisc (gel that you can use a couple weeks after) and the Ocusoft Retain (which was expensive but had amazing reviews)). I can say after all of those choices these Ultra are my FAVORITE!!! I ve bought 2 more packs since. The regular Systane are good too, especially when my eyes aren t super dry but I just need to use them to keep up with my timeline (my doctor said to keep using them every 1-2 hours for a couple months after, even if you don t feel you need them), so I d recommend you to try those out too. But I work in an office on the computer all day and the Ultra are just amazing. A little thicker than the regular but very moisturizing and comfortable. I also like that they are bigger and you can pop the top back on (most you can do this except TheraTears you can t!! Such a waste). 5love 'emso much better than the systane balance eye drop version my eye doc told me to use for my ocular rosacea, those irritated/stung when i used them in my right eye big time for some reason, this preservative-free ultra version does not do so. i did slightly feel as if my eye was going to start stinging when first used but, it never went pass that point from that day on..Do love the little indivdual tubes with this one, makes me feel like it is actually more hygienic than the bottle versions even when i reuse each vial three times. although it says vials are for one use, i do get 3 uses out of each vial which is all i need for most days so one box of 60 will last close to 2mths, making $25 price tag not so bad at all in the end. 5Feels nice until you have to pluck out your eyelashes when they crust overAll right, so I got lasik in one eye and PRK in the other, so I obviously need some artificial tears in my life. For one reason or another, I started with these. And they're fine. Not perfect, but they lubricate my eyeballs adequately.I like that the little vials are resealable, though I didn't realize that until about a week in. I like them cold in the fridge and I like them warm from my pocket. What I don't like is the crusty residue it leaves on my eyelashes. I'm pulling my damn lashes out as I try to remove these paper sheaths from them each day.I actually met with some folks at Alcon recently and told them as an aside to pass that feedback on to the boys in the lab.My marketing contacts suggested I try some other variety of the Systane drops that don't have the residue problem; I just wish I could remember which ones he recommended.I also use the Refresh Optive drops, and they don't have the crust problem. But they also don't seem to be as soothing or long lasting in their...moistness. 3Great product.I don't care these cost so much. I have tried so many different brands and types of wetting drops... even other varieties of Systane. These are the only drops that don't cause blurry vision for extended periods of time, burn, itch or otherwise irritate my eyes.I have some extreme sensitivities to preservatives added to eye drops and somehow these don't cause any issues.I do wish the wetting experience lasted a bit longer than it does and that a bit less liquid was in a vial. Sometimes i don't need all the fluid in each tube but these tubes can not be reused later without the risk of problems.Do wish amazon would package these in one of their more durable boxes for delivery. It always comes in a padded envelop with inevitable crushes the systane box and seeing as the box is the protection for the vials I'd like it to be in better shape when it arrives. 5Great for severe dry eye, money saver with subscriptionThese are my every day drops and I couldn't live without them. I'm so glad I can get them through the Amazon subscription service. It really saves money compared to purchasing at the pharmacy. I have severe dry eye and use natural tears daily. These are the only drops that are lubricating enough to provide relief without leaving oily residue around my eyes. It was recommended by my ophthalmologist that I only use preservative free drops and these little vials are great to keep in my purse. 5Great for Dry Eye diagnosisHave suffered with a diagnoses of dry eye for three years. I have tried many products and Systane Ultra works the best. What I like is the easy to use vials and the fact that there is no heavy oily feeling left behind like other brands I have tried. Best price has always been found on Amazon, the retails chains charge to much and generally do not carry this large 60 pack. The drops are preservative free which is required for constant use of eye drops to keep the eye healthy according to my eye doctor. 5Your dispenser SUCKS!The liquid inside the dispenser is something I have wished for since I was a teenager and I am now 82 years old! I have had dry, burning eyes since I can remember and I have finally found relief. One drop in each eye and the burning is GONE for about 10 to 12 hours. The catch is, "one drop in each eye." Who in the hell laid awake at night dreaming up a way to get liquid from a container into the eye? My wife uses (and hates) the same container/dispenser for a different liquid. Do us all a favor. Find some senior citizen and watch him fumble with your dispenser because I don't believe the manufacturer has tried it! I am going to empty the last drops from an old Systane dispenser and dump every one of those little night mares you sent me into it, so I will have a dispenser THAT WORKS! PLEASE let me know if you are going to get rid of your dispenser. 3
