Great insole for support without interfering with your shoe's flexI have narrow feet and med-low arches and I use aftermarket insoles mostly for tennis. I prefer supportive insoles over the mushy gel type. Until now, Superfeet Greens were my favorite, but the Flexmax is my new favorite. The level of arch support is slightly less and softer than the Greens but enough that my feet are just as painless after a tennis match. The difference is I don't notice the Flexmax insoles as much, which is a good thing. The Flex series insoles don't have the stability plate you see on other Superfeet insoles, but my tennis shoes have such a stiff midfoot shank that the stability plate is unnecessary anyway. An added benefit is that the Flex series won't interfere with the flex of your shoes in places where they should flex. Of course, if you have shoes with a soft midfoot and need the extra stability, the Green (or Blue or Orange) would be better, but I would point out that plenty of good athletic shoes on the market have a stiff midfoot shank, and if you need that kind of stability you should start with the right shoe. 5I love SuperfeetI wear a size 7 (7 1/2 in Nike), I just had to trim a little off the top. These are so comfortable. Not as high an arch as the green, but a little higher than the berry. I have flat feet and arthritis in my knees. If I workout without arch support I regret it very quickly. I love Superfeet! 5Definitely NOT the same caliber as Orange Superfeet...These did not come close to the "orange" Superfeet ~ I did not find they supported or cushioned either the heel or the forefoot. The material was stiff and did NOT appear to be engineered for anything. Not sure what this was -- cardboard was more supportive and cushioning than this.I own 3 or 4 pairs of orange Superfeet. I doubt I'll stray from it again... 2hard plastic feels bad, guarantee is worthlessThe edge ridges of the blue, hard plastic part can be felt under my heel. The cushion part above it is not sufficient. And now I'm stuck with them, because I trimmed the ends to get them into my shoes and try them out. The Superfeet guarantee is worthless. Superfeet's website says, "60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your new Superfeet Premium Insoles, return them with your receipt within 60 days to your place of purchase for a credit or refund...This guarantee is subject to the retailer s return policy." Ok, so I'd have to return them to Amazon. No problem, right? WRONG. Amazon's return policy specifies they must be in "New, Unused Condition". Besides the problematic hard plastic, these insoles have a very shallow heel cup, no lateral support, and less arch support than I'd expected. I am much happier with Powerstep Endurance (cushy) and Sole Softec (firmer but custom-fit) inserts. 1although I could thanks to Amazon's easy return policyThey fit a little large not side to side, nor heel to toe, but they seem a bit thicker than I expected, thicker than the regular blue Superfeet insert. As a result there was more pressure on the top of my foot. I am not going to return them, although I could thanks to Amazon's easy return policy. Rather, I am going to try them with either slightly looser laces or perhaps another, older pair of shoes. Barring the unexpected, however, I will not be buying this again. In fact, after trying these, I ordered another of the regular ones. 4Comfortable Superfeet Insoles!!!!!!!Finally a Superfeet shoe insole made for comfort in athletic shoes! I have tried the blue, the berry, and the copper and I have never been able to get any comfort or wear ability from them. The Flexmax is perfect for the latest New Balance 1080, much more cushion than the "Fresh Foam." If you wear your shoes to work 12-13 hour shifts, I recommend trying out the Superfeet Flexmax Insoles. Plus I am purchasing more because you know how it goes, once you find something that really works it usually gets discontinued. 5Good suppport, not much cushionFirst the good: I have high arches and these insoles provide rigid support that does not give way. The insoles stay in place and do not shift positions. I wear a size 6.5 and the insoles run true to size.The not so good: The foam on layer that covers the the rigid structure is thin and stiff. Though the insoles are supportive, I did not find them to provide maximum cushion as advertized. I suffer from episodic peripheral neuropathy and was prioritizing comfort and cushion, which these minimally provided. Also, they have holes in forefoot section, under the balls of the feet. They provide ventilation, which is good, but because of the stiff foam used in their construction, the holes feel apparent when I wear my thin, high performance running socks leaving the balls of my feet feeling raw. 3Happy with theseI used to make full cork Superfeet orthotics for ski boots so I'm familiar with the theory and execution of insoles. I was never able to make peace with the "off the rack" versions of superfeet insoles in my hiking or walking shoes. In my athletic shoes I've been using a firm foam insole from New Balance but they're spendy compared to other soft insoles. When I got new table tennis shoes I decided to try these because of the balance between cushioning and pronation control. That's exactly what I got. I can definitely feel them working because the shoe instantly feel longer and wider since the foot wasn't collapsing as much. I also got the small amount of cushioning I was looking for. Would buy again. Would recommend to a friend. 4Great Product!I love Superfeet insoles! My orthopedic surgeon recommended the brand to me before knee replacement surgery. He explained that if your feet aren't properly aligned, your ankles, knees, hips and back will bear extra stress and will wear out. My flat feet made my ankles turn inward, making the cartilage in my knees wear away. I've been wearing Superfeet insoles for about five years now and they make my back feel better and have helped me avoid a second knee replacement. Thanks, Superfeet! 5Softer than my regular (blue) Superfeet, but higher arch and harder to get into some shoesI've used the plain blue Superfeet insoles for a few years, and been pretty happy. Was looking for something with more cushion; the ball and heel of my feet were getting sore on long hikes. These are cushy, which is great. But, compared to the blue ones, the arch is uncomfortably high. They also seem to be a little harder to fit into some shoes that DO accept the blue ones easily. Maybe it's because they have a softer, more cloth-like surface.I do think that as others have suggested stretching/exercise is a better long-term solution for me. 4
