Love these thingsLove these things. I used to buy full Superfeet, rip out my shoe's insoles, stick in blue or green or grey Superfeet and then cram my feet into alway tight shoes. Not anymore. I've retired nearly all my full Superfeet and gone with these and the 3/4 Superfeet Go's as well. Between those two, I find they fit in nearly every pair of shoes I have, without having to rip out the original insole, without making the shoes too tight. It is as if people at shoe stores won't tell you about the 3/4s because they are cheeper and they want the bigger sale. I wear mostly dress and casual dress shoes, so for me the 3/4s are the best. I still use full insoles in athletic shoes. 5Hard shoe inserts may work when soft inserts do not.If one has "pain" when wearing/using shoes but doesn't have similar "pain" when walking barefoot, then the problem may lie with the shoes or what is IN the shoes. Perhaps a hard insert like this might help, just as some people prefer to sleep on harder rather than softer mattresses.Superfeet has several different products, and the Best Choice is left to the purchaser. I use the brown as-is "heel inserts" and the green "whole foot inserts" which can be trimmed to fit. Much depends on the style/cut of the shoe, and I recently had to switch to One Size Smaller as the brown heel insert was Too Wide around the heel. Was perfect in the middle of the shoe, but being too wide at the heel did not allow the insert to fit properly inside a new/stiff shoe. Switched to One Size Smaller and all was well.Useful Shoe Buying Trivia: If one is trying out a new set of shoes, a good idea might be to try those shoes WITH THE INSERTS IN PLACE to allow for a more accurate fit. It's possible that a slightly larger shoe might be needed to fit both one's foot and the insert.Other trivia: I have been told that if one purchases a whole foot insert and has issues after trimming it (ex: trimmed too much, or still wrong size, etc) it might be possible to contact the manufacturer directly for assistance. 4Would have been five stars, but...Starting with the positives, these inserts have helped my foot pain. I had Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot and a sprained ankle in my left foot and the inserts helped with both. They came highly recommended by my Podiatrist and gave me almost instant relief. However, I can't give them 5 Stars because of one issue: The right insert is constantly sliding away from the back of my shoe, causing discomfort (and sometimes outright pain) unless/until I take off my shoe and push it back. I've started to use packing tape to make it stick (which usually works, but not always) but it's an annoying problem and is even more annoying because it is ALWAYS the right one. The left one has never moved. (Odd, no?)Anyway, definitely try these first before shelling out several hundred dollars for custom orthotics. I suspect in most cases they'll do the job. 4Vastly reduced plantar pain; would try this first over prescription insoles if I could do it again. Didn't need to size up shoesFlat feet. I have prescription insoles and they won't fit in any shoe that doesn't have a wide toebox; you're supposed to trim them but I like the way they fit in my daily boots (Red Wings). I got these while my custom insoles were being modified. While my custom insoles wouldn't, they fit my dance shoes, will probably fit my running shoes, and hopefully will also fit my dress shoes (Allen Edmonds). They are that thin. No need to size up shoes so far.As for support, I used to get throbbing foot pain in my arches that lasts for a few days after doing physical activity, usually running, dancing, or lifting. I went dancing in my dance shoes and the next day there was no pain. Maybe there was but a different kind of pain, not the usual 3-day-plus throbbing pain but maybe pain from using a different muscle for the first time. Something was definitely there but it didn't seem as intense or that bad. Today is the second day after use and there is no pain at all. When I danced without an insole, I'd still be feeling it.I did get a blister on both my arches though. The insole is a bit hard and maybe my socks are too thin but I plan to put moleskin on the insole arch to pad it.They also slide around in the shoe if your feet don't fit or aren't in the shoe. Usually, once you get your feet situated and your shoes tied, the insole stays in place.I'd buy these again. In fact, I might buy another so I don't have to switch them around so much. Honestly, if I could do it again, I'd try and make these work first before shelling out $$$ for the custom prescription insole. Prescription insoles are pretty expensive so, if you're on the fence about prescription insoles because of flat foot pain, I'd try these first. Might as well try a ~$30 option before committing to a $300-1000 option. The advice for all insoles whether prescription or not: wear it gradually before wearing it for a full day. Wear it for an hour or two the first day, longer for the second, and so on. Pressure and pain can happen when wearing it for the first time so you have to ween yourself on it. My podiatrist says you can hurt your feet for just jumping in to it right away. 5Comfortable and easy to removeI am a runner and got plantar fasciitis. I bought the green superfeet insoles for my running shoes but wear dress shoes to work. I didn't want to buy a pair of insoles for each pair of dress shoes I own. I found these and they work great. I can slip them into the pair of dress shoes I am wearing that day and have the support I need. They are comfortable and I think they have helped my PF. (I say "I think" because these are only one of the many things I've tried at the same time to get rid of PF). The green superfeet insoles felt a little high in the arch at first but these felt great right out of the box. I would recommend these to someone needing more arch support. My dress shoes typically have glued in in-soles and I put these over top. 5Perfect for ConverseI badly needed an insole for my Chucks. As everyone knows, these shoes have no real padding and any type of arch support is non-existent-- but I love these shoes, so I kept searching for something that would make them comfortable. Finally I came across a post suggesting 3/4 insoles with arch support. The reviews on this one looked good, so I bought the smaller size (I think 7.5 - 9?) for my lady feet (I wear a size 9/9.5 in women's). The difference was obvious. I walked my daughter to school as a small test run, and when that went well, I walked my dog for an hour. No pain whatsoever. For once, my Chucks were actually comfortable to walk in for any significant amount of time. 5I have been wearing them now for a bout 4 years and my plantar fasciitis is pretty much held in check unless I do an activity ..I wear SuperFeet instead of the Podiatrist custom inserts. I have been wearing them now for a bout 4 years and my plantar fasciitis is pretty much held in check unless I do an activity without the inserts. Last time I played tennis for an hour without inserts it took two weeks to recover, so I know it's still there but never feel it as long as I wear inserts and flip flops with arch support when around the house. I find the Olukai to be very high quality and don't break down too fast. Back to SuperFeet, I have 4 other pairs of full length and have been using some half length Dr. Schols for about 1 year in my casual shoes. They worked ok at first but started breaking down after six months of occasional use. I have been wearing these 1/2 sized SuperFeet for a few months in those casual shoes but also in my leather dress shoes everyday at work. They fit better than the full length and they provide better support in those shoes than either the full length or the short term Dr. Schols that I mentioned. No sign of any wear not even to the gold lettering! These look nice in my dress shoes because they are brown and look like leather a nice touch compared to taking off your dress shoes and seeing neon colored insoles! lol! Super high quality and save my feet, Love these ! Worth every penny! 5... to hopefully put insert insoles to make them more comfortable. I bought these insoles because they were highly ...I bought shoes slightly too large for my feet to hopefully put insert insoles to make them more comfortable. I bought these insoles because they were highly rated but soon found out they were not for me. They put too much pressure on the arches of my feet and made my feet feel pinched inside my shoes. They also put too much pressure on the top of my foot making it uncomfortable to walk with too much pinching on the top of my foot. Also they maintained the smell of my feet way more than expected. I wore them to class and took them out to walk into my local grocery store. When I returned to my car, my car smelled only of my feet. Maybe if it was more than just the heel lifting my foot up it would feel better but I am not satisfied with how this product performs. 1The solution to my pantar fasciitisComfortable, and true to size, these are my solution to plantar fasciitis issues. I insert these into boots, dress shoes, causal sneakers, and even Nike running shoes. Have hiked 12 miles in a day with these inside my trail runners. They provide excellent arch support and do not slide or yield. The XL (size 11.5-13 Mens) fit my standard width shoes in men's size 13 very well. 5Great compromiseI bought these for use in my Allen Edmonds. I had been using the Greens for a while in my shoes, which are one width wider than my foot to accommodate for the insert. However, my toes were always too cramped. I switched to these, and the toe room is much better. However, I've noticed that the arch support isn't as stiff as the Greens. I also liked the fiber weave the greens are made of, whereas these are more of a faux suede. If you're looking for arch support for your Allen Edmonds, I would recommend these. 4
