Love these glassesLove these glasses! Very comfortable, sturdy, easy to clean. I keep one pair by the bed, one in the living room, one in my car. Great value!On 11/1 one pair broke. I contacted TruVision and Erin responded to my email. She asked my to return the glasses in order for them to look at them. I purchased the glasses only 4 month ago, so they were covered under warrenty. 9 days later I received a brand new pair in the mail. Great customer service! I will continue to purchase from TruVision when I need reading glasses! 5Winner! (6 month update)At age 60 I've gone through many pairs of readers. My husband loves buying them at the Dollar Store and those have been torture to wear, not to mention that you look like you're wearing glasses from the Dollar Store! Recently I bought a pair from a site called "readers" bot.tom :) - online that cost 15$. They lasted about 3 weeks and fell apart, not to mention that they were so heavy and uncomfortable on the bridge of my nose that I could hardly stand to wear them. (they slid down...) No thanks. I don't need to spend 15$ on a pair of readers.....I took my chances on this Popular three pack. These are better than average, lightweight, look good, and you barely know that they are on. They stay on! Each pair comes with a little protective pouch. I consider them a good value for 3 pairs. I bought the 3 strength. The lenses are clear and do the trick. My husband loves them too.I'll be ordering more.UPDATE March 25, 2016:Time has been the true test for these readers and I'm happy to report that all three pairs of these glasses have held up beautifully. The springs are still tight and the glasses still fit as well as they did when brand new. No signs of wear.UPDATE October 22, 2017:I continue to order these readers not because they fall apart,....but because I lose them or leave them behind somewhere eventually :) I have probably placed 6 or 7 orders for the same glasses. Not one pair has fallen apart. 5Jewelry for your face vs. consumablesWhen I finally reached the point of needing reading glasses, I also knew I needed a strategy for buying them. I had none of the habits that people who have worn glasses for years have regarding keeping track of them at all times, like the extension of one's body they actually are. I expected that I would probably lose, accidentally destroy, and just forget to have them at hand when they are needed. So it seemed like, at least initially, getting multiple pair at a low price was the way to get started.I bought my first order of these about eight months ago. Since then I've lost one pair and damaged though not completely destroyed another by sitting on it while it was unfolded. The value equation is everything I had hoped for in choosing this product. In addition to being inexpensive, they are reasonably comfortable, and I'm not embarrassed to be seen wearing them.A friend of mine who has been wearing glasses much longer than me commented on the fact that at first he too went for inexpensive plastic glasses, and then proceeded to show me his $300 German metal specs with glass lenses. His strategy, he says, is to avoid plastic lenses because it's harder to keep them un-smudged and un-scratched, and that aside from those advantages spending up for that quality provides sufficient motivation to keep him from losing or destroying them. I've heard this strategy before applied to writing pens, but I think that only works for people who care enough about owning objects that amount to a form of jewelry, i.e. which serve primarily as status signaling about their wealth. I don't care enough about that sort of thing for it to keep me mindful. I would just be having expensive accidents and episodes of forgetfulness -- like when I lose a cell phone or crack it's screen by dropping it on a tile or concrete floor.Plastic lenses are, in fact, hard to keep un-smudged, though I can't say from my own experience if glass would be any easier. What I have found that works is to use the sort of micro fiber 'cloth' that is made from recycled plastic and usually sold for durable use on big clean-up jobs rather than the very fine ones promoted for lens cleaning. So far I've had no problems with the lenses being scratched, and at $300 vs $6, I'd rather replace the cheap ones as needed if it comes to that. I think of these as consumables, and buying them in multiples makes sense.I've just received a replacement order for a set of three pair for the same price per pair as my original four pair order. 5Well-made and just right for my needs, at a good priceI'm an older guy who can no longer read a book or a computer screen, or do close-in work without reading glasses. So I get nervous if I don't have extra pairs stashed where I will always have one available - in my vehicles, at my desk, in my computer bag. I have bought multi-packs at Costco and elsewhere in the past, bit I decided to try this brand because of the spring hinges and the claim that the screws won't come loose, a problem I've had with other glasses.When I received these, I immediately checked the spring hinge and examined the screws. I haven't had them long enough to know if the screws will come loose, but they appear to be sealed into their positions at the hinges, and the hinges operate smoothly and firmly. Since these glasses come with a six-month guarantee, I feel pretty certain they will hold up just fine.I also like the plastic frames. I am tough on my glasses, and metal frames seem to be easier to damage. These frames are light and comfortable. In addition, I like the fact that each pair comes in its own micro-fiber cloth bag, which can double as a lens cleaner. I'm very pleased with the whole package. 5great glasses for workjust what I wanted for work (auto mechanic) 35 plus years . I am not going to ruin a $300.00 dollar pair of reading glasses at work . they are great for close up work ( about the distance you would reed a book on newspaper . and if they get broken o well no big deal I bought 6 pair . better then paying $300.00 dollars twice last year . so what they are drug store eye glasses . they work for what I need them for . if I need to read a tech manual I use my regular glasses but for working on car's. they cant be beat !!!!!!!!! and in a pinch when you forget your glasses very good stand by 5Great Readers - Great Deal - Great CompanyI am very happy with my order! I ve been looking for a pair of reading glasses for a while, and I m glad I didn t buy any before I found yours. I obviously just received them, but they appear to be built very well, the lens are nice and clear, and I love the fact they all come in their own cloth (cleaning) bag. I really couldn t be happier. One of the others cost about the same as your three WOW I won t ever have to think where did I leave that pair of glasses? . So if anyone asks about getting reading glasses, I ll send them straight to Amazon and You (TruVision Readers). I would also like to add that the company itself is top notch - I had a health issue recently, and one of the co-founders actually emailed me to see if I was OK. How many companies would do that? Most just want your money and then it's "adios" - so if you need a pair of "readers", you've come to the right place! 5Really Great ReadersI've been looking for a great pair of readers without much success. I have multiple sets lying all over the house but they either don't fit that well or don't hold up. So I went looking for something better then I found these. They had a huge number of great reviews so I thought I'd try them. I've only had them a couple of days but they are well made, fit great, are light weight and are sized so I can easily look over the top to see everything else. I'm going to buy another 3 pack set and start throwing away the other junkers I have lying around. 5Love these!I bought these for my husband as he needs to wear these to see anything right in front of him. We had to have a package with multiples as he is always loosing or breaking things while he is working. This allowed him to keep a pair by the computer and a pair in his glove box too, this will hopefully allow him to keep them longer with less chances of being lost! I will purchase these again for sure! I love that they come in a little pouch too it doubles for storing and cleaning! That is really handy. 5Far exceeded my expectations!When I opened my box of TruVison Readers I was instantly surprised by their quality. The construction and built far exceeded all previous drug store brands purchased at more than double the cost. Usually while selecting a pair of glasses at the store I would search for a certain look and usually was disappointed with their comfort. I was a bit reluctant of purchasing these on-line because of this reason. With this purchase I hit it out of the park with both comfort and looks. I would definitely recommend these glasses to anyone seeking a quality pair.I do want to add that I was contacted by TruVision Readers a couple of days after receiving them to follow up on my satisfaction. I responded letting them know that they far exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my feedback to them had earned me an additional pair at no cost. 5Nice glasse,s, goid value, but the glass scratches so easilyNice glasses, but the glass scratches so easily, every pair is scratched. It would be great if they incorporated some scratch resistant coating on the glass. I've had plastic prescription glasses hold up for years, and all of these were scratched in a few months.I'm fairness to this manufacturer, if you take special care to protect the lenses, they should hold up well. 4
