HUGE Arch. Too big for me.The insert fit my shoe just fine (no cutting needed), but as soon as I put my feet into my shoes I could feel the arch was WAY too big for me. At first I thought the insert had folded under itself, but no that's how it's supposed to be. I tried these in brand new shoes so I know it's nothing weird about the shoe. I consider my arches to be "normal" (not high, not flat).I also bought a set of Dr. Scholl's for Plantar Fasciitis in the same shipment. Those fit perfectly too (no cutting), and feel great to me. No arch issues.One last thing that caught my eye. The instruction booklet says "do not immerse in water". That's probably ok for most people, but I'm planning to thru hike the PCT so most likely my inserts will be submerged many times. What happens when you submerge? My guess is delimitation of the layers and/or terrible stench from trapped water growing mildew. Who knows. 3Plantar fasciitis relief after broken in.Made the pain worse for two days. After two days the pain subsided. Now I feel normal, but if I walk with out them for more than 100ft. I start to feel the pain again. Work great after broken in. Will buy again.6' 3" tall, 400lbs. suffering from plantar fasciitis. 5Life Saving Inserts!!I work in surgery standing in a small area next to my patient all day every day. Even though I wear compression stockings my feet and legs would hurt every day. I started getting symptoms of plantar factitious when my podiatrist recommended these inserts. I experienced IMMEDIATE relief of ALL of my symptoms. Soon after I started wearing these (4 years ago), I got my husband hooked too. I would give more than a 5 star if I could. 5Good cushioning; maybe too thick; aggressive, rigid plastic orthotic embedded in heel/arch areaThese are truly wide, much wider than most OTC insoles. Kudos for that: these are the only insoles I've ever found that are wide enough to support all five toe bones. The cushion is thick and fairly dense. It's too thick for some shoes, especially dress shoes. The heel cup is fairly aggressive; I trimmed part of it away with scissors.Contrary to what another reviewer reported, these are actually made of THREE elements: a cushiony foam on top, a denser black foam on the bottom, and a rigid plastic orthotic arch support (as I found when I trimmed away the foam from the heel). In the end, for me these were too thick and too aggressive, by which I mean that the arch support was too high for my high arch, and the heel cup ended up hurting my heel. I really wanted to like these. You might have a different experience. 3Great for Pronation and Supination! Changed my life!A few months ago, I tore a tendon in my foot. Sucker snapped like a rubberband. Although it s healed and causes me practically no pain, it has thrown off my gait and my foot doesn t impact the ground like it used to. My left foot is very flat and my right foot (the one injured) has supination with a reasonably high arch. Finding orthotics to help has been a nightmare. Several hundreds of dollars later, I decided I d give these a try as my last ditch effort before going to the podiatrist for custom fit ones (which I had hesitated on as they are VERY expensive and have mixed results). These insoles did the trick! I wear a double-wide shoe and these were only slightly too wide for my shoes. Not only do they feel great in sneakers, but I am now able to wear my favorite oxfords again...something I have not been able to do with any degree of comfort since my injury. I ll DEFINITELY be a repeat customer. 5Size up. I wear 13's ordered 14-15 perfect!2nd pair. Order 1 size up. The powerstep wides run a little short? Kind of odd. I've ordered five different styles of insoles from amazon over the last 3 years. These are my go to now. I have very wide, long heals. These are the only ones I've found that don't "dig" into the outer bottoms of my heals. On a scale of 1 to 10 the are a 6 for arch support. Great for size 12 3/4 wide semi flat feet. I walk and stand on concrete and asphalt for 12 hours a day in a sales/ auto repair shop. I love the maxx feel and support but they just run too narrow in the heal. To powerstep. Have you ever thought of making the maxx in wide???? Please???? 5Nice and firm supportThese are SOOOOO great. I have wide feet that are a huge pain to fit. These are perfect. They are firm, and I've decided that is what my feet like. Athletic shoe sizes are way to squishy for me and my feet end up aching after a few hours. I put these in my athletic shoes and I can go all day. Did 8 mile hike with them in my boots. I wear chaco sandals and this feels similar to those footbeds. 5Save $400 and try these!Oh my gosh wish I had know about these 3 years and $400 ago! That's when I got official orthotics after being diagnosed with a partial PTFL tear. Those original orthotcs are wearing out and I really don't want to spend that much again so I decided to try these after doing a Google search. They give the same support - if not better - than my ugly expensive and fat orthotics AND these are thin enough I can go buy real shoes again (the orthotics were so thick that I could only wear 2 types of SAS shoes, nothing else would fit over them). 5Major foot saver for those with big, wide feet and flat/weak arches!I have looked far and wide for a good set of orthopedic inserts. I've tried numerous ones but they eventually fail for my wide flat, feet (14 EEEE) on my larger than average frame (6'4 250). I bought these figuring they would eventually go in the trash heap like the others, but to my surprise, they work surprisingly well! The first week or so I wore them, my arches ached from not having proper support before and being forced to align. I was pretty sure I would have to toss them, but after 7-10 days, the aches/soreness went away and I readily adapted to them. I didn't realize how nice these are until I was on vacation and was left with only a pair of shoes that did not have them for a water park. The difference was immediate and not pleasant. All day walking in the water park was torture. Luckily for the next park, I was able to wear these and the 5-6 miles we covered was better than I've ever experienced with inserts.These are great for walking but not so great for running/jogging. I find they feel odd and I usually switch to my old pair for that, but for walking/hiking/elliptical/recumbent, they are excellent.I can't stress enough there may be a, "break in" period where your feet have to adapt, especially if you're flat footed, but give them a few weeks and you will be thankful. I don't think I can ever go back to my old sets of inserts for anything walking/standing related. 5A Lifesaver!These insoles have proven to be such a lifesaver insofar as the agonizing pain in my legs and feet from standing for three hours at a time and walking go. I was in much pain and then progressively adopted Nike compression socks, Spenco sandals and these inserts. While I also, on occasion, take a pill for the pain, the three products mentioned have greatly improved my ability to stand and walk without pain. Very highly recommend. 5
