Not for me.I didn't like this too much. It was not my thing. I found the material not too good, not well made and it hindered me more than helped. I didn't use it but a few times. 3ComfortableThis was a great sling, my husband said it was way more comfortable than the ones you find at CVS etc. It had a strap with built in velcro that was slightly padded so it didn't rub his neck raw. His only complaint is that the strap was pretty narrow, but it still felt okay. He thought the actual arm part was way better and he liked that it was black and didn't show up much. He's a larger guy, 6'0 frame. 4adequate +basic splint, holds the arm in place, has a thumb loop to stabilize position. cheap, adequate, those are it's good points. you might want to wrap something around the strap where it crosses over the shoulder to make it more comfortable. if you are going to need to use a sling for a month or more, get something plusher. 4Four StarsIt worked for my showder pain. 4Three StarsDidn't work as expected... kind of cheap looking... quick ship though! 3too bigI bought this after shoulder surgery. I wanted a black sling because I was sent home with a white one that was getting pretty dingy. I couldn't use it. It was really large and didn't provide much support. I am a fairly small woman, so it may work better for a large guy. 2This was exactly what it says it is.The sling helps keep the arm from swinging sideways by supporting the back of the arm. That was a huge plus for me. I wish that the sling had a slicker inside though (something instead of the cotton) so that the elbow would glide in while putting it on. Instead of sliding it would drag in and then hurt. With rotator cuff, any movement hurts. So I had to finagle it into the sling. Eventually I pinned a scarf on the inside and that helped. Maybe for most other injuries, it might may not make any difference to lift the arm into the sling, but I could not do that.But all in all, the sling was a good for the price. 4Good for the moneyThis arm sling was way better than the one I received from the doctor's office. Although I did not insert my thumb in the area that you can see on the pic the support for my arm was great.As you can see in the picture the strap is wide which is great, but the longer that I wore it the strap became in effect smaller. It would be great if the strap was twice the size because then the velcro part and the stap when pressed together would always be a perfect fit. As you can imagine when you sleep you move. It never came apart but a larger strap would be better. 4Good for the price.Used it as a sling. The material used that goes around the neck stretches so has to be tghighted up at various times. Nice for the price. Would use when other was being washed. 4arm slingThis is a very comfortable arm sling and alot cheaper than the one that my doctor charged my insurance 20.00 for that one hurt. 4
