flavorloved the mushroom seasoning I'm vegan and the vegetarian mushroom seasoning gave my soups a hearty flavorful taste could not tell it did not have any beef broth. 5Amazing Salt Replacement and MUCH More!How can I explain this product?!Firstly, I grew up in the Little Saigon area and found this product ages ago. It's sort if like a cross between salt and bouillon sprinkles.I use it as a broth if I want to sip a broth or adding it in stocks, soups, marinades, savory spice mixes and more. I use it in place of salt also. It has a very savory flavor and is an AMAZING replacement for salt...Yes, I think I adequately described it but I'm sure it is even better than I can attest to...!Also, it truly doesn't taste like mushrooms, so dont worry about that! It's a very neutral taste. 5Umami and SaltyThis is my #1 secret ingredient in my homemade curries, soups, and stir fries but also can be substituted for salt in most recipes if the salt is there primarily as a flavor-enhancer and catalyst(I've never tried using it in baking). I LOOOOVEE working it into hamburger patties as I hand-patty them. It's an extremely useful seasoning, and I honestly put it in pretty much any savory dish I make as a general flavor enhancer, and my spouse loves it and I've even converted them into using it regularly!The only real negative to using this is that is is made by drawing that umami flavor out of the mushrooms with salt, so it's probably 50% or more salt by volume. We have no health reasons to avoid salt but I tend to not like my food to be that salty, so if I'm following a recipe I pretty much substitute *all* of the salt that's in it with this, plus maybe 50% more. Then the recipe will be slightly less salty overall than it originally was, but have much much more flavor!I haven't ever ordered this online, as I simply buy it at my local Asian market for much less than it goes for online, so I can't speak to delivery or service on this. That said, if you can't get it locally, one bag of this is over a pound, and if you think about how long it takes you to go through a pound of salt then you'll have a good idea of the value this seasoning is for the price! 5This is the original.Great for soups and gravies, with no msg! 5Great productGreat in soups, gravy and sauces!
