These are great! These seeds were really easy to use and sprouted right away! I have never grown alfalfa sprouts before so this was literally a test. I used a nut milk bag, hung it in a dark closet, and rinsed them twice a day for a week. After that I hung them in the kitchen window for a few hours to obtain some chlorophyll, and turn green, and they were ready to go. One more rinse, a spin dry with the bag, and they have kept in the fridge for several weeks. 5Loved these seeds but felt like the germination rate could ...Loved these seeds but felt like the germination rate could have been better, I wasn't expecting so many unsprouted seeds left. Most did sprout though, and I will buy again. 4Good germination, tasty sproutsI prefer to sprout my own sprouts, so I know where they have been and what kind of water has been used. Make sure all the seeds you use are SPECIFICALLY for sprouting, because some seeds are treated with chemicals that wouldn't be healthy for you.I mix these with broccoli and cabbage seeds for sprouting most of the time, and sometimes a small amount of radish seeds for sprouting if I'm feeling like a bit of zesty flavor.Using a quart jar with a plastic lid that is made for sprouting, I soak them over night. I usually put in 2-3 tablespoons of alfalfa, 1 teaspoon each of broccoli and cabbage, and when I put in radish only about a half teaspoon of seeds. Too many seeds leads to a crammed full jar which is hard to empty. Then rinse several times a day with fresh clean water, making sure to drain it fairly well, then propping it up on a tray to completely drain in between rinsing. After the sprouts have gotten to the size I want them, usually within 3 days or so, I put them into a fairly large glass bowl, rinse as much of the hulls away as I can, and let them get some sun on the windowsill for a day or so, rinsing several times. After that, I put the cover on the bowl and refrigerate them, rinsing them with fresh water every day until they are all eaten. They are great on sandwiches, salads, and anything else where you want a some live greenery.I have found that touching them with any kind of metal tends to make them rot for some reason, so I avoid touching any metal to them until eating them.Note: Found that having extra sprouting lids is helpful, to put under the sprouts when they are in the bowl to hold them up from any water that has drained into the bottom, leading to them lasting longer. You put the lids on the bottom with the flat parts up to create an open space underneath them, then the sprouts on top of them. For my large bowls I use three lids next to each other in a triangular formation. 5Hmm... Epic Fail on first tryI ve never sprouted my food before. They certainly sprouted but did not grow into the tasty sprouts I buy at the super market. They kinda rotted as I waited week after week, despite my daily attentions. I m a little disappointed but I might try again now that the weather is warmer. Perhaps my home was too cold during the first attempt? I wish it came with more detailed instructions. 3All good as far as I can tellAll good as far as I can tell. I m not using them for human consumption, we have wild bunnies who live in our back yard and I m using large terra cotta saucers do sprout alfalfa for them to eat. Seems to be working so far. 5Easy, healthy, fast and funSo easy to grow these organic alfalfa sprouting seeds! We enjoyed how quickly they changed and grew. Two tablespoons of seeds grew into an entire quart jar of sprouts that tasted so light and crisp and looked so beautiful. A great addition to sandwiches, salads, and avocado toast! 5Seeds did not sproutIt's been 5 days since I started these seeds and they have not sprouted. I have been rinsing twice daily and only see two or three threads from two tablespoons of seeds. I am starting a new batch today. If these do not sprout, I will be returning remaining product. 1Grow well & tastyI started sprouting these to aid me with breastfeeding. Besides being fun to grow alfalfa is really good for lactation so these are extra nutritious and tasty for me.. a little goes a long way so they re definitely worth the price! I had my jar overflowing when I followed the directions on the bag, so I ve been using a little less than they recommend and have a nice jar of sprouts for sandwiches and salads. 5Thanks AMAZON for a hard find!Finding Alfalfa sprouts ready to eat is hard. I make my own in Mason jars with lid rings screwed over screening. I keep 3 growing in different stages so meals or snacks are always ready. There is a lot of beneficial value from these sprouts. Pack them in sandwiches and salads. As they get longer I use a fork to fluff them away from each other so they have lots of air flow. First stage is a damp paper towel with seeds sprinkled over it so seeds stick. Fold and lay wet, loaded, folded pieces in the jars. Once the seedlings get a good 1 inch tail, wash them off the paper towel, washing seed husks away. Loosely put the seedlings back in the jar. Rinse, roll and fluff daily until you eat them all and start again. You never knew plants could taste so good! Enjoy! 5Perfect!Sprout up quickly and easily in a mason jar. Delicious and have a long life, they will keep at least 10 days after the last watering in the fridge in non-zip baggy. Well worth the value if you like sprouts. 5
