We re glad we lost the first oneWe ve had a similar product around the house for years but lost it in a recent move. This replacement has exceeded our expectations. We re glad we lost the first one. 5IN THE NECK OF TIMEI'm considered a senior, senior and experience neck and shoulder pain and stiffness. My doctor has recommended that I try heat therapy in moderation along with medication. I searched products offered on the web at Amazon and found a number of varieties in style and approaches. This wrap best suited the overall features I was looking for. Long enough to circle around my 17 1/2 inch neck, weighted enough to stay in place, dense enough to hold heat for some time and a pleasure to have as a companion. Microwave allows the user to obtain a desired heat level in short time and the fact that the heat dissipates gradually helps to protect the user from over exposure to high heat sustained for long periods. It is absent of any perfumes that might linger in the microwave and that makes my wife happy. Everyone is tempted to try high heat and it is a nice experience but returning to the microwave to sustain a lower heat level is more apt to sustain the pleasure for a longer periods without ill affects. There is one draw back to the wrap for me and I have submitted two photographs of how I made a simple addition to close the wrap closer to my neck. On one side I added a string loop and at the other end a wooden peg that passes through the loop to close the neck piece like a shirt button at the collar. I will be replacing the peg with a suitable ball button. I have only had the wrap a few days and I believe its use is providing relief already. I might add, this product would be great to toss into the bed for a warmer. 5IF YOU HAVE A PAINFUL NECK THESE HEATING PADS ARE WHAT YOU NEED.THESE HEATING PADS ARE HIGH QUALITY AND DO A WONDERFUL JOB WITH MY PAINFUL NECK. THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE, I AM HEAVY AND THEY ARE DEFINITELY OF GOOD SIZE, THE COVER IS SOFT, THEY HEAT VERY WELL IN THE MICROWAVE IF ONE FOLLOWS DIRECTIONS. I have tried all kinds of heating wraps but this one is the best of all. I just followed the heating instructions and wrapped it around my shoulders and neck. It stays in place and is weighted just enough to keep my shoulders down so not to further hurt my neck. This wrap is so comfortable that I am able to walk around the house with it and the wrap stays warm for a long time. Love it! 5Beautifully designed heating wrap. Perfect for home, work or travel.I love this neck heating wrap. I just had neck surgery in January and tried to use my electric heating pad but it was very awkward and uncomfortable. I saw one of these on Amazon and decided to try one. After the first use I was sold. It fit much better around the areas that I needed warmed, it is so easy to use and not at all awkward or uncomfortable. It s perfect for work since we are a no scent workplace and I can tuck it in my drawer or carry bag and not have to worry about electric cords or wires. It doesn t take up much room either. I have received a lot of compliments about how pretty it is and when I show them how warm it gets and how long it stays warm they are super impressed. I actually bought a second one because I love it so much!!! 5One StarIt fell apart on the first day. 1Even then we were disappointed in the amount of heat generatedMy husband has pancreatic cancer and is always cold. The microwave heating pad was purchased to help him. We found the pad difficult to heat sufficiently. We followed the directions but had to increase the time. Even then we were disappointed in the amount of heat generated. The pad is heavy for anyone who finds weighty items to be a problem. A positive - the cover is well made and attractive. 3Well made...I don't often give all-stars but I am extremely happy with this purchase. I was worried that it may be too small but as Iam a petite adult, it fits just perfect. Quality of materials is great. This product should last for sometime if the microwave directions are followed. I replace mine every 2-3 years due to my excessive usage-I use them in the car, the bed and while I'm working with my fiber arts projects. I have made washable covers for some, as skin products may stain material . Impressed by company presentation box. I usually buy mine at the farmers markets but i haven't seen any circular or "fun" designed ones like this company makes. I've tried other wraps before, but they have never really stayed warm for much length time. This one heats up for me at around 3.5 minutes, and stays warm for almost 30 minutes. It's very well made, and I think the flax seeds make the difference. I had a faint smell from the flax at the first use but now I don't notice any smell at all. It arrived and I was very pleased with it. It is not too big or bulky, and wraps nicely around the neck. It is comfortable to use. I realized after I got it that it was a perfect gift for two other friends as well who experience a lot of neck pain, so I ordered two more. They were a hit with each recipient. The moan of pleasure when each person tried it for the first time made me laugh, but reinforced the fact I had picked a good gift for each person that will give them repeated relief. I am ordering another one now as a birthday gift for another friend. The only thing is I wish the cover was removable and washable. This is small enough to take with you traveling, and the fact it is not anything that needs to be plugged in, makes it easy to use in bed, on a couch, in a recliner, or in the car. It is very comforting. I had a similar product for myself for years and even used it post surgery while in the hospital, a couple times. The nurses were impressed with it. if you want a nice gift for someone in the hospital recovering or at home recovering, this beats flowers, and can be used repeatedly. It is a gift that keeps on giving. It is like giving someone a hug over and over. 5
