Customer Reviews

They workOver the years I have broken or bruised my metatarsal more times than I can remember.I have used everything from moleskin, duct tape, and countless custom orthotics to ease the pain. These just work. I recommend that you attach them directly to your foot behind the injured Metatarsal at first. After a while you will find your sweet spot and can apply them permanently to the foot bed of your shoe, sneakers, etc. 4It might slip but it's easy to apply and very supportiveI put these about where my doc told me to, and after 2 or 3 tries I think I got it right. They were easy to pick up and move so I'm not sure how they'll stay in place in the long run, but they are comfortable and supportive. I have very bad neuroma that radiates along the nerve between my middle and 4th toe and on my Alegria shoes, after a day more or less on my feet teaching, I am in comfort.I plan on using these pads on the actual soles of my shoes, not on my feet. I already have a good pair of insoles with pads on them, but I find there's a lot of sexism in the field of podiatry--not all women and men alike want to wear trainers/running shoes. My supportive shoes need these pads as well, including my Dansko, Sanita, Abeo, and a few pair of "comfort" shoes that are nicely padded, but no support for the neuroma. I plan to use these all up and get more. The beveled edges of the pads make it very contoured, so that ONLY the problem area is lifted off the insole and the rest of the toes around the area enclose the pad comfortably. 5They stick just fine, and haven't budged at allJust what I was looking for! I needed to replace mine, they were really old. I stick them to my shoe insert. They stick just fine, and haven't budged at all. 5great foot reliefFor me it works well, been wearing them for a few days, quite a relief. Only draw backs are, if you put them directly on your feet it's a little painful to pull off if you have sensitive skin, the other thing is, separating the covering over the sticky back takes some doing. I have wife do it, it's very hard to find the edge to get started. But all in all , it's very handy to have several and the sticky part hold up for more than one use, which saves money.Update 03/19/2018 Still using these and they are still working very well for my foot problems. My foot doctor showed me how to pull the insole out of the shoes I wear and put the pads on the bottom of the insoles, this works really well. Still wish I could separate the plastic easier off the sticky part, have to have wife use her fingernails...but that's a minor thing, they work great. 4ReliefI purchased these because my foot doc made one for me at our last appointment for my metatarsal pain. It is nice having a bag of these, with the right and left pads being interchaeable, and pain not being an issue anymore. 5These work and are a good value. These work great to relive neuroma pain.If properly placed, you cannot even feel these in your shoes. Please note- these are permanent- not the kind to be moved from shoe to shoe.I have used several types of metatarsal inserts. I really cannot go without them. These are soft and comfortable. The price is quite good compared to my favorites which are the Pedag leather inserts. The silicone inserts have a considerably shorter lifespan and can create an uncomfortable pull on socks when used in athletic shoes. They can also be quite warm against bare skin.At this price-I use these in almost all of my enclosed shoes. I use the Pedag in my sandals (The leather cleans easily and does not stain like the felt does) and in my primary athletic shoes (as they are smooth and do not affect my socks). I no longer purchase the silicone inserts as I found the lifespan to be too short for the usage they receive. My advice- use these in closed shoes only. These are not ideal for sandals as they tend to get dirty and cannot be easily cleaned. Use the leatherinserts for sandals. 5Great alternative to the one my doctor prescribedI have inflammation of my second toe joint (Capsulitis). My doctor gave me a metatarsal pad that cost about $45, isn't covered by insurance, and feels like walking on a rock. Worst of all, it needs to be stuck on your shoe and then can't be removed. Obviously, I don't wear only one pair of shoes! So, I put it on an arch support long insole and move it. Not the greatest solution - it still moves around depending on how the insole fits in the shoe. This pad is inexpensive - so I can put it in lots of pairs of shoes. It is also much more comfortable and seems to do the job just as well as the $45 rock variety. Definitely recommend! 5Buyer beware, do not adhere directly to shoes! This is only getting one star because that's the only way to leave feedback. If I could return this I would, unfortunately the only way to know if they're any good is to open the package, hence, NON-RETURNABLE! The worst part is not only am I out the money I spent on these, they also ruined a brand new pair of Clark's sandals, $70! It's nearly impossible to get them in the perfect position on both shoes on the first attempt, and when you go to remove them they leave behind a thick, very sticky residue, which in my case ruined my sandals. 1Do yourself a favorA recent visit to the foot doctor introduced me to these. What a difference! If you have any problem with the ball of your feet getting callouses or your feet are aching, try these. The 1/4 inch might be a bit thick, and I've ordered the 1/8 inch to check it out. 5Most cost effective way to address a neuromaI was diagnosed with a neuroma in my foot a few years ago. Rather than skip straight to very expensive custom orthotics, my podiatrist recommended that I try these first. For me - they work like a charm. And cost effective so that I can put them in each shoe that I needed and not have to switch them back and forth. Might have taken a couple of tries when I first got them to get placement right - but now its no issue at all. I keep coming back and buying more of these! 5
