Flavor is great -- pods are defectiveLet me start by saying the two star rating is for the pods only -- the coffee tastes wonderful! This is the second time I've ordered Martinson Irish Creme -- best tasting Irish Creme coffee in pods I've used. Downside -- the first box I ordered in 2018 I had no problem. This box, I've used 4 pods out of the 24 and two of them have been defective. There is a top layer of foil and a layer under the foil of plastic (like Saran Wrap). The plastic wrap sits too far down for the needle of my Keurig to puncture it. The needle punctures the top foil layer but doesn't puncture the layer of plastic wrap so the water doesn't go through the pod but around it, leaving me with a cup of hot water. So far this is 50% of what I have used. May be sending the rest back.2So Great That I Put It On Auto DeliveryI first received Martinson Columbian Decaf in a sample pack of kcups. I loved the taste. I'm not one to load my coffee up with sugar and cream, because I love the taste of the bean. This one is totally outstanding. I looked everywhere to find out where I could find more after I finished that sample. The taste is strong, but not overly done. It's not acidic and not bitter at all. I love this coffee and have it on auto delivery. It is fabulous. I can't find any other columbian coffee that matches it. I've tried others, but I always go back to Martinson. They did a great job with this coffee.5Alien Coffee; Melting Cup; Weird Filter MaterialFirst impression was that it smelled heavenly while it was brewing. Second, the taste -- bleghh! Too dark and Woody; no true coconut flavor but there IS some strong unidentifiable artificial flavor added - too much to tell what you're drinking.Then came the horror. Upon removing the K-cup from my brewer, I found it -- partly melted --- wow! It was bumpy and noticeably shorter and wider than when it went in.When I took the K-cup apart as directed, I noticed the grounds smelled stale and burnt. The filter is made of some synthetic weave that frays as you try to separate it from the recyclable cup.Just very strange overall.1Need some extra hair?Arrived well packaged and timely. "Capsules" work great in my brewing system that uses K cups. This is a strong brew of the sort that perhaps can grow some hair on the chest as used to be said of potent coffee brews! For those who enjoy strong coffee or perhaps need some extra hair, grab a cup, a smile and head for your favorite morning chair! While it is indeed coffee, & I will drink it, I enjoy the more mellow brews best, and so will not likely get more of these. To my taste, the pecan flavor is lost in the potency of it all.4No Coconut Taste or AromaI am a big fan of coconut coffee. I drank Green Mountain's Island Coconut for years, but sporadic availability and variable quality had me looking for something else. Have tried every other brand I could find as well.Really wanted to like this coffee but... The coffee taste is average to slightly above average, but I can discern NO taste or aroma of coconut! None! With all of the other coconut coffees I have tried, my wife with her extra sensitive nose always tells me how good my coffee smells, but she agrees that this one has no coconut aroma. Disappointed.My all-time favorite for coconut coffee is Wal-Mart Great Value Toasted Coconut, but it has been discontinued either temporarily or permanently (it went away last fall before Thanksgiving and didn't come back until after the first of the year).Margaritaville Calypso Coconut is almost as good and that will become my "go-to" brand if the Great Value product does not come back after the Christmas season1the taste and priceI usually use hazelnut that is my favorite but pecans are my favorite nuts I used to get pecans\\can from my uncles tree in Texas and they were so good but he has passed away so I don't get them any more I wish I did when I saw pecan kcups from Texas I thought I should try it is so great I just love it is so smooth and flavor full I decided I had to order some more price isn't too bad would of course be lower a bit or get some coupons but I am Hooke d on the coffee keep up good work keep making pecan my husband likes it different for a change he said thank you yum yum5LOVE LOVE LOVE this coffeeI love coconut flavored coffee and had been using Green Mountain but when I couldn't find it at the store any more I found this on Amazon with very good reviews, I purchased it and totally love it more than GM. The flavor seems to be pure and doesn't leave that slight aftertaste like GM. It is smooth and the coconut taste seems to be infused better than GM. This seems to be a mild roast and is the smoothest taste I have ever experienced in any coffee. I don't know anything about this company other than they really know how to make a good cup of coconut flavored coffee. The smell of coconut fills the kitchen as it brews and the taste is full of coconut flavor but not overpowering. Even if you don't like flavored coffees you really might like this. This is going to be the only flavor of coffee I drink and only by Martinson. I have never heard of this company but I am totally sold on it. If you are looking for a coconut flavored coffee then I encourage you to try this one. I wasn't disappointed and I don't believe you will be either.5Very WEAK coffee, can barely taste flavorSo I am someone who doesnt like a strong coffee taste. I never drink cappuccino or espresso. In fact, I usually use a single K cup to make both a medium and a small cup in a large glass because this makes a little more than a large and it isnt as strong. This coffee is so weak, I tried just making a medium cup and it still tasted mostly like creamer.After reading that the "Texas Pecan" flavor was so awesome, I decided that was the one I wanted to try, sounded delicious but you can barely taste any flavoring at all. I know from reading the reviews that they have switched their cups from gray plastic that people didnt like to clear plastic that they still dont like and what they sent me was gray, so it is possible these cups were just really really old. I was very disappointed. I usually buy Costco brand K cups or Green Mountain or even the actual Keurig brand and love them. This was a swing and a miss. I will never buy this brand again.1Best K-Cup Coffee EverI stumbled upon this coffee at the Christmas Tree Shops and was surprised at the quality and taste. Martinson Coffee is the best I have ever tasted from my Keurig machine. I read several articles that described why Keurig machines will never make a good cup of coffee, water temperature is not hot enough and the water does not stay in the coffee long enough, but this Martinson coffee debunks those claims. Also, I applaud Martinson for using the recyclable cups. I find it easy to remove the inner lining, recycle the plastic cup and dispose of the used coffee easily. Thank you.5Nice packaging and easy to recycleI ordered this a few weeks ago. I've gone through half the box to give it a fair evaluation. I have tried at least 4 other brands of coffee with pecan flavor in my Keurig. I find this brand to be lacking. Even when used in the Keurig with the smallest cup setting, the flavor and aroma still seemed slim. Nice packaging and easy to recycle, but I don't plan on buying it again.2
