I've tried EVERYTHING - compression sleeves, ergo running, not running - all to no avail. My shins still hurt. FINALLY, in desperation, I thought I'd get a magnetic bracelet ... couldn't hurt to try, right? I am AMAZED and happy to report that I've been wearing this since I received it (about 3 weeks ago) and have run 4 - 5 days a week with NO pain. No residual pain, no pain, period. I truly thought I was going to have to give up running - my doctor said as much - but I'm happy to report that that is no longer the case. I'm running just as far (farther and faster!) as I was prior to the shin splints.I'm sure someone can explain to me the mechanics of how this works but I'm not really worried about it - I CAN RUN.. I was given an explanation of the metal finish on the balls wearing off (which is actually stated in the description) was accommodated with a credit for my troubles. As I told Bob, he fully restored my faith in the company he represents!
