Way too spicy.I bought this on Woot the 8 pack of 4 taco filling and 4 sloppy joe. I tried both. Holy hell did they over spice it. The sloppy joe tastes like tomato paste out of the tube.- Pros Texture isn't half bad.- Cons Needs to be cut with something very bland to balance out the spices. But the spices are so over powering that it's almost unpalatable. It's as if the recipe called for 2 teaspoons of cumin and they added 10 tablespoons. If you have something bland and need to mix it with spices and want protein, this is great. On it's own no, no way.2Not a good substitution.Disappointing. I have purchased several other Loma Linda vegan meal packages & have found them to be quite tasty. These include the taco meat, the chorizo, the Pad Thai & the Hearty Stew. But the Sloppy Joe one was a major let down. I felt it was very bland & soupy. The sauce tasted more like a pasta sauce than a Sloppy Joe & there was a weird aftertaste. I grew up eating the real deal in Ohio & this is a very poorly executed imitation. I read the package to see what was in it, and then saw it is vegan, and thought that can't be why. I looked in the ingredients and I STILL couldn't find why it tastes so bad. The expiration on the package is still nine months from now. I came to Amazon to see what other consumers think, I see there ratings are polarized. You either love the taste of this product or you hate it. I'm never buying this again.1
