Tastes like honey so our kid loves to take it. 5So far so goodOnly used it a couple times with my daughter so far, but she says it helps her allergies more than her old kind, which was the generic version of Benadryl. I like that this one is natural. I wish they sold bigger bottles of it though. 5Helped my 1 year oldThis has helped my one year old tolerate his allergies. Between teething and allergies my poor son has been drooling, coughing, sneezing for months. This allergy medicine has helped him tremendously and our pediatrician approved it. I will continue to order as long as he needs it. 5Excellent productDaughter has severe seasonal allergies. At just 4 years old there isn t much in the market to help her. We used Childrens Flonase but she hated it. It smelled terrible and alleviated some of her symptoms but not for long. We researched this product and cross our fingers. We ve used Hylands in the past and hoped this wouldn t disappoint. It didn t!! My daughter loves the taste and within 15 minutes she was sound asleep and symptom free. Thank you Hylands!! 5Gave my 4 year old a rash!So while my 4yr olds allergy symptoms did go away, I had to stop giving it to him after only 3 days because he broke out in a pimple-like rash on his shoulders, back & neck. The disturbing part for me, was that I was cautious & only gave him the recommended 1 tsp twice a day, NOT SIX TIMES A DAY like they recommend for children 2-5!! 1Tried all the allergy meds suitable for kids - this one is our favorite natural oneWe have two highly allergenic kiddos (9 and 11.) I've been dosing them for what seems like years to help with sneezing, asthma, eczema skin reactions, hives, and allergies arising from our hairy, adorable kitty. I like that Hylands is natural but be aware that this syrup requires frequent dosing so it's not the most convenient medication to reach for. We use long-lasting Zyrtec in the mornings as our daily allergy remedy. We use Hylands when allergies come up suddenly and we need instant relief. We especially like it at night before bed because it doesn't interfere with sleep. It's not a miracle cure but it does work well and comes with zero side effects. Benedryl was causing major problems for our 9-year, eczema-prone old son. Hylands replaced it and is one he asks for immediately when he's having a hive outbreak or a case of the itchies. We will continue to buy and hope they come up with a longer lasting option in the future! 5The nose spray contains steroids and I'm not too comfortable putting a 3 year old on daily steroidsMy son has been coughing for months and doctors couldn't figure out the reason. He wasn't sick but he was coughing on and off. One doctor came close to diagnosing and gave us a nose spray thinking that it may be post nasal dripping that's causing it. The nose spray contains steroids and I'm not too comfortable putting a 3 year old on daily steroids. I have been using Hyland's cold and cough and that's been effective when he has a cold. One day it dawned on me that his post nasal dripping may have to do with allergies because I have the same thing and noticed that my son, just like me, keeps clearing his throat. I had seen Hyland's allergy syrup at Whole Foods and decided to give it a try. What do you know! He stopped the constant throat clearing and cough. Then I forgot to give it to him one night, and the next morning he was back at coughing and clearing his throat. That proved to me that the syrup works. Now, every night I give him this syrup which helps him sleep without coughing and without waking up with an irritated throat. I wish I had known about this sooner and saved sleepless nights and hundreds of dollars in doctors' bills. 5I recommend it when you don t want to use traditional meds.This is a decent alternative to allergy meds. I wasn t comfortable giving my child allergy meds every single day of allergy season, so this was a nice option for us. It doesn t work as well as the meds, but definitely helps with symptoms. I recommend it to anyone who isn t comfortable with meds on an everyday basis. 4No fuss medicineMy children detest taking medicine. But I didn't have any problems getting them to take this when I told them it will help relieve their allergy symptoms and it's natural. Excited to see the results with a couple of days of usage. Thanks!! 5This is a stapleThis is a staple in my home. I would recommend this to anyone with children that care about what their child is ingesting. It's Homeopathic and works. Do keep in mind, Homeopathy does not mean your child won't have an adverse reaction. Read ingredients and do your research. 5
