Good for work boots if you bed more cushion without more arch support.I tend to supinate when I walk - I put more weight on the outsides of my feet. I learned this a long time ago, when I used to run a lot. People who supinate need a "cushion" shoe little or no arch support as their arches are usually high enough. People who pronate need a "support" shoe with less cushioning and more arch support. Most people are in the middle. Anyway, I've tried to find work boots with as much cushioning as possible and without a high arch. So, I have the best boots I could find for my situation which happen to be a pair of Keens. I've had a bunch of different insoles over the years and these are by far the best. I still wish there was more cushioning but I've been working on a project the last couple months which has had me on my feet for long hours every day. My feet feel it a little bit but they're not painful like they would have been without these insoles. I apologize for the long review but when I was looking for a new pair of insoles it seemed like a lot of guesswork. To quote one of the reviewers above, "these insoles make me hate my job a little less." 4DO NOT FIT KEEN 17s!I wish Amazon would allow a no-star-rating, information-only statement. In one way, these are 5-star. In another, they are 1-star.For the record, I *love* Keen shoes -- I have more than a dozen pair, and have probably worn out that many over the years. They solved my chronic plantar fasciitis, are supremely comfortable, and a good value for what they are. Not many shoe companies even make 17s, let alone decent ones, so I buy and recommend them as often as I can. Heck, my normal-sized better half has at least a dozen pairs, too.So I was _stoked_ when I saw these insoles. I was dubious initially: If they were _any_ other brand, I would know "13+" was misleading fraud. But, I thought, "well, they're Keens. Keen makes 17s. They might work. Have some faith." Well, the faith was unfounded.Nope. They should be listed as 13-15. Or, maybe, 13-16. But they are *definitely* too small for 17s. There is a large gap at the end, between the end of the insole and the end of the shoe. I wore a pair around the house for a bit, hoping against all reason that I wouldn't notice or that it'd be ok. Nope. Annoying. And they move around too much. And there's always the lingering doubt that the support is in the wrong place, etc, since they're too small.BUT, they're super comfortable, and I can see why people love them. Unfortunately, it's another case of "something everyone else loves, and I'll never get to enjoy." (See also: Most cars, most clothes, any airline seat not in first class, etc.) The curse of the freakishly sized. That said, they do change how the shoe fits -- they're thicker than the stock insoles, and I was finding that my toes rubbed the inside-top of the shoe because of that.I'd blame Amazon for the misleading size information, but the Keen packaging says "13+." It _really_ should say "13-15". And, man oh man, do I wish they would make a pair that fit 17s. Sigh. More self-loathing and envy-of-the-normal-sized for me today. : ( 2Bought as a compromise between the k-10 (default insole) and k-30 (some what nice, but EXPENCIVE need more toe padding(4/5) just got, thicker than k-30 and fell well supportive at ball of foot and toes. Will have to review in a month or so, that s why the 4 stars. Bought as a compromise between the k-10 (default insole) and k-30 (some what nice, but EXPENCIVE need more toe padding... previous pair of k-30s I cut the toe setion off the k-10 I was replacingto give more toe and ball-of-the-foot after a month of k-30 breaking in way too fast... which for that price I thought would be better).(2/5) a week later... distorted my feet on a trail... these are basically brand new... recommend getting add. Scholl s pain relief for men over 200lbs. As soon I spilt in it felt just right and all the areas that were in pain with the k-20s dispersed. I put back the k-20s and got all the same hot spots... going to switch and try the dr school s. They are cheeper and feel more supportive... only had the k-20s a week. 2I have a pair off Keen work boots and love them except for the insolesI have a pair off Keen work boots and love them except for the insoles. Not much padding. These are the step up from the factory insoles. As other reviewers have noted, these K-20 insoles should be standard in every pair of Keen boots. They made my work boots feel like a completely different pair of boots. They are so comfortable now - like walking on pillows made of clouds. This is a blessing for me - I work 12 hour shifts walking on concrete. I highly recommend these if you own a pair of Keen work boots and spend long hours on your feet. They are totally worth every penny. 56+ months of daily use and noticed they finally fell apartI work maintenance at an aluminum die casting plant and I am on my feet all day. My feet and boots are subjected to a lot of heat and a lot of walking and climbing working between 50-70 hours a week. Before I bought these insoles I have been having issues with my feet. I have made the mistake of consistently buying Dr. Scholl's for many years and over time my feet were starting to ache if I walked barefoot around the house. I sought help from my podiatrist and she sold me a pair of $50 prescription insoles, however they did not seem to help much. So I bought the Keen K-20 insoles and gave them a try.The Keen Insoles worked amazing! They felt really comfortable in my work boots and after a few weeks my feet also felt a lot better! The aching feeling in my feet was virtually gone a month later. All of my other insoles typically lasted a few months and I am very impressed my first pair lasted for as long as they did. Ordered my second pair just now so I can say they are definitely worth the money. 5Instant Relief! My husband works in a warehouse on concrete with harsh material. None of his shoes ever last past 6 months. I mean they looked horrible, coming apart dirty looking just horrible! He isn t hard on shoes it s just his work conditions. We have tried work boots. So I went on line and started looking up shoes good for concrete floors. Honestly this was my second choice. The first choice was another brand name didn t last. Granted we were spending $50.00 plus on his shoes. So we were buying cheap shoes.I learned about the Keen brand on Amazon:) and no tears ripes easy to rinse off. They don t look filthy. We are both overly pleased with this brand! Well about a year his feet started hurting really bad everyday. He was ready to buy another pair. I m looking at the shoes like but they still look so good! So we decided to try Keen insoles first since that option was a little bit cheaper and they received great reviews. We cut them to his size and put them right on top of the other ones. He had instant relief! (He had a little extra room in his shoes already). So they fit perfect with both insoles. This brand rocks!! We will continue buying Keen work shoes/boots and insoles. No more buying boots or shoes every 3-6 months!! Yes they are expensive (shoes) but they are worth it!!!Honestly, I am almost nervous to share this review because I don t want the brand to change anything... that s how much of a good investment the shoes and insole are!!! 5Made all the differenceShould have come with my Keen shoes. As pictured, left are the new ones, right are the inserts that came with the shoes. Might be hard to tell, but these are much thicker and softer. 5Best insole I've triedI've had all kinds of problems with my feet and have tried just about every insole and combination of insoles on the market, including two pairs of custom $600 orthodontics! I finally settled on these, which I wear OVER a pair of Red Wing insoles, which are basically the same as the SOLE Active Medium Performance Comfort Insoles. I have a high arch, and the Red Wing insoles provide me with the arch support I need while the Keen insoles provide me with plenty of cushion, without elevating my heel above the ball of my foot. I've been wearing these almost two years and am amazed by how well they hold up. I am VERY active and on my feet a lot, and these insoles have held their shape and have not come apart like so many others I've tried. 5Great cushion but with untoward costs (decreasing effective shoe size).Beware that these insoles are about twice as thick at the insoles that come with standard Keen shoes/boots. My Keen shoes fit slightly snuggly to begin with, with these insoles they are TIGHT! I would guess that they decrease the effective size of the shoe by 1/2 to 1 full size.... They seem to have great cushion and so they are very effective in that manner. I followed the guidelines of sizing via Keen's website and they fit well. 3Worst purchase ever. Only buy them for someone you hate. Not only bad insoles, but actually ended up destroying my boots. Oilfield worker. On my feet 12-18 hrs a day. Once I leave the house, I don't go home for a week. No stores, no options. These insoles were slippery causing my heels to ride against the back of my boosts which wore out the backs. Now my foot gets stuck when I try to take them off. They were also very thin so they didn't even perform well as insoles. They fit as far as length and width so that's cool but other than that, a total waste. Not only lost the purchase price, I'll have to replace or repair my fairly new boots sooner than I normally would have because of these little jerks. These should be banned or sold as a prank. 1
