Quality is lacking but there is no competition for the design.Quality is lacking but there is no competition for the design. I have 2 26s, no 29 and one box had its plastic wrap melted onto it. (see pictures). The quality feels flimsy and cheap and I'm afraid I don't have much faith it'll survive beyond 6 months. Price should be half what it is based on those points alone. I'm still going to stick it out because I like the design so much. I hope the company is watching these reviews so they can improve. 3seems great, but it is small and doesn't last. While it is super nice to be able to dole out a full month's worth of pills at one shot, the compartments really are TINY. The vitamins I take on a daily basis are all the gummy variety (I tend to actually take them that way!) and they barely fit spread out over 3 of the compartments. I'm also noting that in about 2 or 3 months of use, some of the labels are wearing off. Add to that the fact that a couple of the compartments won't stay closed, even empty, I'd suggest that you continue looking for something with better quality -- which is what I am now doing. 2I am very thankful to the crafty person who designed this!!!For $17.88 this herbal/medicine lazy Susan rocks!I like putting down the price I paid since prices can jump up & down dramatically. This not only holds 31 days worth. They are numbered 1 through 31.There are 4 good size compartments for morning, noon, eve & night. The size was important to me since I am using mine for the many vitamins, herbs, minerals, plus the big fish oil gel tablets. It not only holds the palm full I take daily but would even hold a few more. The top part is great also. I keep my iodine trichloride drops on top, (it would be hard to put my daily liquid drop in one of the containers), my lotion plastic 6oz jar, & I'm sure I'll find more to pile on it.I would not use the top for tall heavy items. But it is simply great for what I need it for, & will certainly help me take my vitamins, herbs, ect, daily because now that it's filled up I only need to reach for the daily container instead of opening up all the many jars everyday, which was the biggest reason I usually skipped the hassle of taking them. The hinges on mine work well & seem made to last. Those complaining about wanting the time on the lids instead of morning, noon, eve & night (which most on meds need to have) you can get a pack of white labels, size about 3/4" by 3" long for a $1. at the dollar store.Simply keep cuttinng the tops off about 1/4th or 1/3rd inch, and you can do 4 sheets at a time easily making them the perfect size to cover up the Morning, Noon, Eve & Night & write the time needed on the label. That seems like such a petty complaint since it can be fixed so easily & probably more than 90% need them the way they are.How can they be expected to know the exact hour some need to take their meds?Same with those complaining about the numbers wearing off, redo them with a Sharpie, but that too will eventually wear off because these containers are plastic, but hey, you can do it again a year or two later.I don't understand what some people expect. This is such a awesome item! 5An excellent solution for us...**Update: 16 months in** I just wanted to update this review since we've now had this organizer for over a year... and it is STILL going strong. I was concerned that maybe the "hinge" of the daily pill containers would begin to weaken and eventually break apart, but there's absolutely no sign of that happening any time soon. My ONLY complaint (which is minor AND patient-specific) is that the individual compartments are somewhat small. Now keep in mind, "small" is relative - I'm able to fit a large multi-vitamin, another "horse pill", three capsules plus a standard small round pill in a single compartment... but with the addition of new medications this month, I'm definitely wishing for a slightly larger compartment. LOL I believe there is still ample room for the majority of people's needs - never had any trouble fitting all of my husband's pills in his compartments. The 'lazy susan' has held up very well, even with a rambunctious cat TWICE knocking it off a table and onto a tile floor. No visible or functional damage at all. And it's because we were considering buying a second one (owing to the addition of some new meds for me that need to be taken on a slightly different schedule) that I decided to update this review. It speaks well of the quality of this item that it was the first option I thought of when it came time to figure out my new med schedule.*****Original Review*****My husband and I are both on several different medications, and we both take pills twice a day. We have used many different styles of multi-pill/multi-dose dispensers, trying to find a solution which fit our needs well. This turned out to be it.We're using one unit for both of our meds, and to do that required some slight but simple modifications of the product. Armed with a pack of sticky labels and a marker, I went through and stuck labels on each of the four compartments for each day. They are labeled "BA/RA/BP/RP" respectively. (Him AM, Me AM, Him PM, Me PM). I sit down once each month and dole out his morning/evening pills and my morning/evening pills. Using one unit like this has the added benefit of allowing each of us to tell easily - when we go to take our own meds - if the other has remembered to take theirs. For two sometimes forgetful people, that's been great!I also went through and put a label on the outside of each slot - Sunday through Saturday, with three left blank. I did this because, first thing in the morning, neither of us is thinking clearly - "Is today May 7th or May 8th?" But we can usually remember that it's Monday or Saturday! It's just another visual clue to let us ensure we're taking the right meds on the right day - since I have one pill I take only once a week, that's especially useful. This has worked out extremely well for us - neither of us has missed a dose since we began using this product, though we've both benefited from the other being able to tell at a glance if we've taken our meds already! As others have noted, the top and bottom do not rotate independently of each other. We haven't found that to be problematic for us. If we have any complaints, it's that the top recessed well space isn't actually wide enough to accommodate medium to larger bottles of Ibuprofen and our multi-vitamins. It's a minor thing, however, and really pales in comparison to the positives.Opening and closing the pill holders the first time can be a bit awkward - they're tight to open, tight to snap shut, But after setting up the first month, we never again found any trouble with that, so I think it's just a tightness that comes from them being brand new. We're very happy with this item... it's serving our needs perfectly. 5Best pill minder system ever except ...This is the very best pill minder I have found... EXCEPT SOME OF THE SECTIONS DON'T CLOSE WELL. We bought a unit a couple of years ago and it was great. I just loaded my mother's pills into this new one today and several of the "Noon" sections (and a couple of others) don't close securely. Amazon is now sending me a link to the company, to see if they can resolve my problem. I didn't read the reviews first, because the first one was so great. Apparently the quality control has nosedived. You can turn the empty containers so that the dates don't show, and it makes it simple for someone to select the correct one each day.The daily holders seem so much smaller than the bulky ones I have used for my parents, but my mother takes many large supplements (all recommended by her 2 doctors) and somehow they fit in easily. 5Wonderful idea, but cheap made pill holders. When I first came across this, I immediately added it to my wishlist until I was ready to purchase it because I knew I wanted this. Well, I finally purchased it on June 23, 2015. It's barely been a month and I'm already disappointed, at least with the pill holders. As you can tell from the picture I have included, one of the lid covers has broke off almost all the way. I opened it up to start storing my pills for the month of August. The pill holders are cheaply made. Part of the words are rubbing off. It's only a matter of a few months where these pill holders will render useless. The rest of the design is great. I love the fact that it rotates so easily and it can store almost every single bottle I have to keep close to me. If it wasn't for the cheaply made pill holders, I would rank this 5 stars, but if pill holders are going to render almost useless after one month of use, I feel a 1 star rating is justified. 1Great idea, but the boxes are flimsy.Love the idea! The execution is just not quite there :( The white part seems well made, though the top isnt quite as handy for storing bottles as I feel like it could be. It is great for small bottles. The real problem is the quality of the little boxes. They are cheaply made and there is no way they wil hold up to opening and closing repeatedly. Also, you have to line the lids up just right to close them. Anybody with less than nimble hands is going to have trouble and will likely snap them right away. Each little box is only going to hold 2-4 aspirin type pills and 2 supplement size capsules, and they need to sit just right to make that work. People with lots of meds, especially lots of capsules, won't have enough room.Note that the plastic is ABS, I didnt notice until it arrived, though it is clearly marked on the box, my fault. There seems to be varying opinions on the safety of this plastic for food grade applications. The U.S. government's current position is that it *IS* safe.If by some magic the manufacturer reads these reviews: I've done a lot of pill box fills for a lot of people. I've seen dozens of styles of med boxes. I have NEVER seen one that has a spot for *before* breakfast pills, then morning, etc. Most patients try to re-label, or just remember that morning means before breakfast, lunch actually means morning, and so on. Drives me crazy. This box would be an easy one to print labels and re-sticker if this situation applies to you; the lids of the boxes are flat enough.Overall, I would have given this 5 stars (and happily paid $30+ instead of ~$20) if the containers were more sturdy. 3Bought as a replacementI've already owned one of these for a couple years now. As a concept, this is great! One day a month I load all of the containers with my meds and I'm ready for the rest of the month. It's basically a lazy susan medicine center - it rotates completely around to access the daily pill boxes and the top acts as a shelf for the prescription bottles as storage. No weekly containers to constantly fill like you get at the local pharmacy or store. So, I ordered another one as a replacement as I lost one of the daily containers and a couple more tops might bee seeing the end of it's days. The new one I was disappointed in. My original is nice and sturdy. When I do my monthly refill of the pill containers I just grab it by the top shelf and set it on the table. The new one - not so much. The top pops right off every time I try to lift the entire unit. The new pill containers in the box come wrapped up in 4 packages...three of the packages have 8 pill containers and one has 7 per package. Each pill container is labeled with a date. My box came with 2 packages of pill containers labeled 17-24 and NO pill containers for the days of 25-31. Wait...what?I chatted with Amazon about the issue and they immediately issued me a return-less refund so I can order another. Will I? I think no. I'll just keep using my original one that is much better and sturdier. 2Monthly/Daily Pill OrganizerI am an elderly person who takes lots of medications at different times of the day. I have used many different kinds of pill organizers, all with unsatisfactory results. This circular organizer, however, is the best one I've come across providing a place to store all my medicines and allowing me a daily pill holder that is portable and breaks the day into the four times when medications are due. The biggest difficulty with this organizer is the time it takes to get the pills into the holders, but that's a problem with every organizer I've tried. Once I developed a system and routine for loading the organizer, the time has been minimized. Before buying this device, I read the reviews and found several who found the daily pill holders easy to break; my experience is that they are relatively sturdy if opened and closed with pressure applied in the most efficient way and not against the grain, so to speak. I can see how the compartment covers could be easily pulled off with too much pressure, but if the covers are hard to open, adjusting the direction of the pressure being applied can be helpful. I've had mine a while and have yet to lose a daily holder. I carry the daily holders in my pocket and, when the medication alarms on my phone sound, I have the needed medications right at hand. Since I began using this organizer, I've missed very, very few doses! I'd recommend it to anyone who needs an efficient system to keep up with the daily pill regime. 5Difficult to open, breaks easy, seller is no help!Overall a decent product but the caps get stuck and are difficult for arthritic fingers. My husband tried to pry one open for me and the compartment lid tore off. Contacted seller for replacement for the one day compartment and even offered to pay for it. They couldNot help me. I now have a useless item as the medication is needed EVERY SINGLE DAY and they DON'T CARE! 1
