Avoid, very badly DISTORTED lenses on minesOn time delivery, well packed, nice frames given the low price, BUT the lenses gave me the most distorted view I've ever experienced in my entire life. I buy 5 to 10 bucks a pair readers and lose them all the time. So I figured I'd go even cheaper, and try these. Honestly, it was like throwing 14 bucks out the window of a fast moving Greyhound Bus. Seriously I know they're only 14 bucks for 5 pairs. but if the lenses are so distorted that I can't even wear them for 3 minutes, what's the point of buying them. AVOID these glasses at all cost. I'll be spending more and saving my eyes. I threw mine in the trash. It's not worth my time to return them to get 14 bucks back. 1Excellent Value Reading Glasses That Get The Job Done In StyleSo far, so good. Items are exactly as described. I wasn't expecting super high quality glasses. These are just plastic glasses. The hinged stems are nice. The lenses are good quality plastic and are easily cleaned with a lens cleaning cloth. I'm treating these extra gentle because they are plastic. I'll update later on how well they hold up. I'm pleased with the fit of the glasses and the lens clarity. As lightweight as these are, the bridge support does leave imprints on the nose. I purchased clear nose cushions and installed on all of the glasses and that solved the problem. The glasses are now even more comfortable. Then wipe clean with a clean wet rag and then follow-up with an alcohol soaked tissue to wipe it all down. The surface will now be clean and rough enough for maximum adhesion of the cushions. 5Style & Quality at a can't loose Price!I've bought many brands of reading glasses on Amazon over the years and have been relatively happy with them all. However, the Gamma Ray 5 Pack are without a doubt the best yet. They are extremely retro-stylish (which my wife and I love) and I get many compliments on them. In addition to the styles (they are assorted colors and one pair is tinted for the sun) the quality is great! They are sturdy and have hinged springs, which definitely prolong their life. Also, there is a cleaning cloth and a very nifty little adjustment screwdriver included - what a nice touch! All of this at the price-point they sell for make them a huge winner. No sooner did I receive my first order did I immediately order a second set to have on hand. 5Great buy and great glassesI love these readers! They are stylish and comfortable. If you buy a pair of readers at Walmart or the dollar store they are about 6 bucks I was so happy to find these and you get 4 readers and outside readers for about 14!!! You can't beat that. I was worried that they would be to big for my face or to small but they fit perfect. I use them every day for working on the computer and doing paper work. 5The Springs Hold Them in PlaceThis is the second set of these I have purchased. I got the first set a couple of years ago and recently broke two frames. My fault they broke, not a problem with the glasses. I have them scattered all over the house, in the car, in my purse, etc. I love the spring loaded arms, because if they are not on my face they are on top of my head. They stay put. I haven't tried the gray ones at the pool because I already had some others that are actually darker, but those are getting old and may need to be replaced if I continue to be clumsy. 5High quality at a low priceMy ophthalmologist told me to go from 2.50 to 3.00 for reading. Most of the stores in my area don't carry anything higher than 2.50 and the few that do want an arm and a leg for them. At 5 for $13.99 I decided to try these and they are great! I'm not sure I'd call these "stylish" but they seem to be very high quality, they are lightweight and fit comfortably. I have noticed a big improvement in reading. I worked for a company that made injection molded plastic lenses so I know that plastic lenses can be very high quality and these appear to be so. At his recommendation, I also bought a 5-pack of 1.25 reading glasses for -- are you ready for this? -- distance vision. The picture on my 70" HDTV screen has never looked better! (But talk to an eye specialist before using reading glasses for distance vision.) 5Lens issues.Though they look good and the hinges work well, they are fairly poor quality glasses (you get what you pay for). Two pairs have had lenses pop out, and more than one lens has this strange aberration on the lower edge that causes an annoying blurry zone. Would not buy again. 2Quality glasses! Well made and an exceptional value.What a deal! Five pairs for the price of half of one. Could have been a tad bit larger, but that is only because of my big head. Am surprised at the quality of these glasses. The frames are sturdy and the hinges are exceptional. For me the sunglasses are unnecessary since I just had surgery which corrected my long range vision and would never use them for reading. All in all, I am extremely satisfied. 5Great value, few consNice quality for the price. Lens are very clear though I wish frames had a lighter feel on my face. I could sense the pressure and got a little tired after a while of wearing them. I got two 'full black' pairs and didn't get the one that faded black to clear so that was a disappointment. But overall pleased to have extra pairs to stash in my nightstand, one for work, my pocketbook and the kitchen. The sun readers are cool but were not labeled to have UV protection even though the description in the listing says they are. Will have to test them out. I've pointed out the Cons but would buy again bc of the value. 4Great readers. Great price!These are great reading glasses. Certainly, Amazon's price is right!I decided to buy all new readers but did not want to spend too much. These do the trick. They are sturdy. The lenses are clear. They are more stylish than some of the others that I have.I like to have a lot of reading glasses around. I sew, read, cook, shop, fix things, paint, knit, garden, photograph, etc., etc. I have purchased very high end glasses as well as readers at the dollar store. These are most definitely better than the dollar store glasses. They are heavier. The flexible hinge is a good asset. The dark lenses are great for reading at the beach or by the pool.While I can't attest to the length of time that these glasses will last, at the moment, they seem to be great. They are so affordable that I do not really mind if they wear out in time. I keep them all over the house, in my car and my handbag. Now I have new stylish readers as an upgrade. I am aware that it's a small thing, for sure, but a fun and happy one.I recommend these reading glasses. I purchased them and am glad that I did. 5
