Best pad I've triedI've tried many metatarsal pads, and this one works best for me. The gel padding is just the right amount to comfortably fit in a shoe while providing very good cushion. The slim material also helps it fit easily in shoes. I've worn these in running shoes, leather casual shoes, and cycling shoes for my bicycle. The strap between the toes is usually comfortable, but I do find myself adjusting it 2-3 times a day for comfort. They seem to resist odor, are easy to clean (I cleaned them by hand), and dried within an hour when I put them near my fireplace. The stitching came loose in one area, but I'll simply repair that. Liked these better than any other pad, and am buying 2 more pairs. I wear a men's size 10 shoe, and the large size pad fits well. 4A good solution for runners with metatarsalgiaI have ordered these twice now because they have allowed me to train for a marathon through some very painful metatarsalgia. My foot has even healed about 90 percent despite some hard running and 50+ mile weeks. Great product and I will continue to buy until my condition heals completely. 5VERY pleased with this product!The gel replaces the natural padding on the ball of my foot and makes it much more comfortable to walk. It stays in place very well, and easily fits into socks and shoes. It can be washed and air-dried for freshness. I recommend this product to anyone who has metatarsal pain. 5No pain thanks to these metatarsal pads!I had broken a metatarsal bone and my doctor explained that within 2 to 3 months the break would knit back together automatically. After 3 months, I no longer had any pain on the top of my foot when I walked but I was having pain on the bottom of my foot instead. My doctor explained that the now healed broken area was on a different lower plane than it had been and that I may need protection for the bottom of my foot. Thus far, these pads have helped tremendously...no more pain on the top or bottom of my foot. My only tiny complaint is that you can see them slightly when wearing sandals...I wish they were more narrowly cut on the top part but it really isn't that much of a issue since the pain is gone. 5Keeps sliding upwards.I ordered this item after looking at the reviews. I tried them on for couple of hours. The cushion in the back is nice. But after wearing it for few minutes, the spandex on one side keeps sliding upwards. (that is on the little toe side) I had to keep moving it up every couple of minutes to make it stay in place. Could this be a defective piece? I am not sure. The concept is good. But if it doesn't stay in place, what is the use?I have attached the photos soon after wearing and also after wearing it for couple of minutes. 3maybe they'll make a great bunion pad insteadI've had these all of 1 hour and I can already see that these are not going to work out. 1) They slide forward on your foot and the gel pad ends up in the space between the ball of your foot and toes. 2) It also rotates toward the inside of your foot, so if you have bunions, maybe they'll make a great bunion pad instead. 3) Maybe they'd stay in place if worn inside a shoe, but they're so thick, it makes the shoe way too tight (and I wear pretty comfy walking shoes with a roomy toe box). Disappointed. I had high hopes that these would provide some metatarsalgia relief, especially when going barefoot or wearing socks around the house. I wouldn't recommend these. 1Really helps!They stay in place and cushion the balls of my feet on long walks--helped so much on a recent trip to Europe. Easy to wash out and dry by morning. I recommend them! (Just don't wear them around the house barefoot or they'll stretch out. But with socks and shoes--excellent!) 5Very happy with these.I have tried several styles of metatarsal pads and find these to be the best. Some have edge ridges that cause painful pressure spots on my foot or take up so much room in my shoes that my shoes no longer fit. Neither of these problems exist with these. I have a very narrow foot so keeping them in place was a small problem until I started taping the label to the bottom of my foot. Problem solved. Since I have to wear pads every day, all day, comfort is important. Would like toe coverage.This is the best thing I've found to wear in my shoes. I walk around on cement floors all day and have metatarsal damage from wearing too tight shoes in my 20's. These help alleviate and prevent inflammation.I wear them up kind of high on my toes so that my toes also have the squish. I wish there were inserts like this that had the nice gel and the nice insert for your big toe, but that were also meant to cover the toe. 4
