Inconsistent flavor.The Folgers Black Silk coffee is mine and my wife's favorite so were extremely happy to find it in bulk. Also the price per pod was cheaper than in the grocery stores. Unfortunately it seems like some of the pods the flavor is weaker than others. They arrived in 4 boxes that were taped together and then my wife combined them all into one big box (one of the Sams Club Folgers 80 count boxes) so we don't know if it was just one of the boxes that was weaker or some from all of them. While the price is good I think I'll just stick to buying the canister and refilling my reusable pod.3Smooth, Dark and Rich with flavor..The Black Silk is a very nice smooth rich cup of coffee. Not bitter in the least. I waited along time for Folgers to come down in price before I started buying the K-Cup portions. And I'm sure glad they did. I've always liked Folgers, but had switched to Donut House coffee after trying about a thousand different brands when I purchased my first Keurig a few years back. Like so many others that seem to start doing well, they go up on price. Fortunately Folgers Black Silk came down. And as long as they keep the prices reasonable, I will keep ordering it. Subscribe and save is the best way to get this delivered. But if you haven't tried it, and you like a good dark, rich coffee, then you should. And again I stress, it is not bitter, it is not flavored with nuts, or anything else. Just good coffee. Do yourself a favor and just try some. I bet you'll order more.5Number one Dark Roast!I am in my 50's and grew up drinking 8 o'clock coffee.So I consider myself somewhat a coffee expert in my own right.Since K-cups were born I now use them.Over a period of time my taste grew stronger for Dark Roast Coffee.My favorite is still Newmans Own, but I have been experimenting with different brands brews and flavors.I bought a box of 12 Folgers Dark Roast and FELL IN LOVE! This is so far the best dark roast on the market in my opinion.If you like Dark Roast you will know why they call it Black Silk.It's the best!!!5Gluten Free for me!I have celiac disease and really need to be careful about my food and drink. I've been drinking a store brand coffee and I realized it was making me ill. After a little research I found out that it contained flour as an additive. I made my mistake! I'm sticking with Folgers for my Keurig. I know it isn't filled with flour! Besides I really like the Black Silk Blend.5Enjoying K-Pod coffeeI enjoyed my folders coffee, I'm just use to a large cup, and I have to remember to get a regular standard size cup like in the restaurant. I will go without my coffee before drinking that swill. Which is why I was so surprised when I tried this at the k-cup machine in my office. (only dark roast available, had no choice).I. Was. Blown. Away... Black silk is so full bodied and flavorful I had to slap myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. This provides one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had, over and over. In fact I've found that I have a hard time drinking anything else because I simply crave the black silk flavor. I have the hardest time coming to terms with the fact that I drink Folgers everyday.If you like dark roasts, try this. Very highly recommended.5Great coffee but bewareLike: richness/price ratio is good, in fact this probably the best K-cup deal going.Dislike: part of my order included pods that would only produce 8 oz. portions. I should have seen this coming, as the boxes were sloppily packaging-taped together in an obvious mismatch of varieties. This violation of merchant standards rests with the distributor, not the product itself.4Good K cup coffee great price.I am absolutely a coffe holic. Sometimes i think theres more coffee in my veins than blood. I am not a big fan of K-cups but they do in a pinch, In some cases they leave a bitter aftertaste which sends me to the Tums in my med cabinet. I have found Starbucks and Peets dont do this so thats usually what I have stuck with. My wife ( who drinks so little coffee she gets high just smelling my cup) bought some of these one time and they really are (much to my surprise) quite good and don't tear up my intestinal tract. They make a very good and cheaper alternative to starbucks which can get ungodly expensive.4
