Excellent Ice PackI had my knee replaced 4 weeks ago and I wish I had had this Ice pack from the beginning. I was instructed to ice my knee for 20 minutes every other hour and I had an efficient but small ice pack to do the job. However I could only do one part of my knee at a time and it took a whole hour to do the 3 parts necessary. With this Ice pack I can do it all at once and it stays plenty cold for the 20 minutes needed. I highly recommend this Ice Pack to any one in need of cold therapy. I have not tried heat therapy so cannot speak to that. 5Stays cold for over an hourI have purchased a few other cold gel packs, but they are ready to wear - covered with a thin fabric. This one has a plastic covering that needs to be wrapped by a towel, but don't let that bother you. It stays cold for quite a long time. I am able to use it 20 minutes on my back, then 20 minutes on my shoulder, then 20 minutes on my hip... and after an hour, it is still somewhat cold. My other gel packs only give me 20-30 minutes of usable time. 5Great costumer serviceI contacted the seller and they refunded me immediately. Great costumer service! However, there was an issue with heating the pad in the microwave. I placed it in the microwave as directed and within a dozen seconds the cover started to get a some "melted bubbles" on the edge. I immediately removed and inspected the cover and saw that it had indeed started to melt. The microwave was not on high and I was standing directly next to the microwave for observation. Too bad it was not good for heating in the microwave. I purchased this to lay across my stomach and back and it was a very good size. I think it's to keep a dog from chewing on it, but the horrible smell never goes away.This coolmat works GREAT for my pug. I own two and put one in the fridge (not freezer) or on a cool surface like tile flooring while my dog uses the other to cool down. Once it reaches her body temperature, I swap them.Probably not a good idea to leave with a dog unattended, but that's not something I do (she's also not a chewer). 5They either leak or smell bad or don't cover enough surface areaI rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to after using this product.
