Five StarsGood product and the price too.5Five StarsGreat Quality and Price5Easy to use, has a fresh tasteThe renowned cardiologist, Stephen Sinatra, recommends d-ribose in a heart treatment course along with Co-Q10, D-Ribose, magnesium, omega 3 and L-carnitine. After following this 5-way regimen for almost six years, I am convinced of its efficacy. Until recently, my D-Ribose supply came in a tin-foil pouch at a seemingly good price. However, I noticed that the taste changed slightly when re-ordering. Sometimes it was "sweeter" than others. I also got tired of reaching into the pouch and getting my hand covered in powder. When I saw D-Ribose 500g (1.1 lb) Bulk Pure Powder, AJI92 quality standard was available in a large bottle, I decided to switch suppliers. This product has the "sweetness" I like and seems to be as beneficial as Dr. Sinatra suggests when grouped with the rest of the kit. I don't know if this is the best D-Ribose on the market, but I feel confident taking it and that's about all I ask for in an affordable health supplement.5Is d-ribose somehow impervious to stomach acid? I don't think so.I really don't know if it improved my energy or not. I don't think so...if I felt any better I could easily call it placebo effect. Regardless of the legitamacy of d-ribose supportinf mitochodrial functin, what I would like to know is "why wouldn't this sugar be broken down by the digestive process into basic polysaccharides before it would ever have a chance to get into the blood stream to do what it's supposed to do in the form of d-ribose?????????? I add it to my morning power smoothie (fresh organic fruit, rice protein powder sprouted, D-Ribose, tart cherry juice and almond milk) and I have energy for a high pressure job well into and usually after the normal lunch hour.
