Customer Reviews

For the perfect morning, every morning!!I love this chai! I have tried so many other brands but this one is the one I ve fallen in love with! I add Torani almond Orgeat syrup to my David Rio Tiger Spice &/or Elephant Vanilla. The Torani syrups are my favorite & they just adds such a great flavor & an extra depth to the chai. Also, I bought myself an unbelievably fantastic electric milk frother from Breville that not only froths milk but heats it up to your desired temperature, all while it mixes up the powder & syrup! It s dishwasher safe, can set desired temperature anywhere from a cold froth to 170 degrees, & it comes with a latte disc for creamy but not too thick as well as cappuccino disc for very thick foam. It s seriously the best thing I ve ever bought for my kitchen! Can make tons of beverages without dirtying a bunch of different utensils since the frother lid also has a removable measuring utensil leaving an opening to add powders & syrups while the lid is on preventing splashing. Highly recommend the David Rio chais - Tiger Spice & Elephant Vanilla, Torani Almond Orgeat syrup, & Breville BMF600XL Milk Cafe electric milk frother. Those products make every single morning the absolute perfect morning!5Very Pleasantly SurprisedI just opened this after getting it in my Amazon Fresh order, and the other reviews are right. This stuff is pretty delicious. I only hessitate to use the superlative amazing because it just wouldn't do this product justice. Since I have an espresso machine with a milk frother, I made this into a chai latte, and it's so unbelievably creamy and smooth. The balance is just right, and the flavors are deep and complex. To be fair, this is not an authentic chai recipe in that you can't really taste all the spices like cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, or cardamom. When it's taken for what it is, a chai tea for the Western palate, it is the best I've ever had. For those who may be wary of trying a powdered chai tea, rest assured, there is no chalky finish at the bottom. Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'm off to make another cup.5Not really sugar free.Though it technically doesn t contain sugar, it contains maltodextrin as its first ingredient, which has a pretty similar impact on blood sugar levels. Since the ingredients are listed by weight, it is mostly made of this almost-sugar.It even contains a warning on the label that diabetics shouldn t use it!So not only is it not suitable for managing blood sugar levels, it s sneaky about it.1Natural flavors does mean natural ingrdients.I purchased this for my Mother In-Law when she came into town. I thought maybe I would enjoy drinking this with her, but I am not too pleased with the ingredients. This is not natural and it actually has a small amount of trans fat which is the mono diglycerides.1This little chai of mine!Once upon a time I had a favorite drink that I ordered from my favorite coffee shop. Sadly, this coffee shop closed. Prior to the closing I was able to obtain the information as to how they made my most favorite drink. The answer is... this mix! This chai mix in a latte form produces a latte that tastes like holiday spirit, love and that feeling you get when you watch cat videos all in one... it s soooo wonderful. You can also have it iced or blended.Since you are interested in the 4 lbs bag - you - like me - will probably use this mix in all of the possible forms. You really can t go wrong with this chai.I did purchase an airtight container to keep it fresh on my countertop.Enjoy!!5Not spicy enough...Not spicy enough.. I got the "Tiger spice". I was looking for something comparable to Trader Joe's Spicy Chai (which is my obsession) but dairy-free and ordered this. I just had a cup and was very disappointed. Nice and aromatic but its lacking that "Spice" which makes chai so enjoyable. If you tend to shy away from chai because its too strong/spicy of a tea, then this one is definitely for you.***UPDATE***Contacted the company about it and they said "We can't comment on the strength of that canister without testing/sampling first." Ummm okay... Asked where I lived and such and I replied weeks ago... Have yet to receive a response back after that. I guess they don't stand behind their product. Seems like it's one of those "too bad" kinda thing with them.1This is so over-sugared that I couldn t drink it & I won t buy it again. The aroma as the hot water dissolved the powder was heavenly. But then I took that first sip, expecting it to be as good ... WRONG! It was so sugary I might as well have been drinking hot sugar syrup. Yuck! I am quite disappointed, as I had high hopes for this product. The idea that I might have a pleasant-tasting hot morning drinking without steeping was very attractive to me. But this is not it. It is instead an expensive mistake, and will be consigned to the bin, unless I can find an acquaintance who likes megadoses of sugar, to whom I can give it.1HOOK THIS UP TO MY VEINSI LOVE THIS STUFF. JUST THROW SOME LIQUID IN THERE, MIX IT UP, AND HOOK IT UP TO MY VEINS.In more serious tones, though, I would HIGHLY recommend buying this. This chai mix is absolutely delicious. I make a cup of it every morning before heading to school/work.You can make it with water or milk, but I make personally make it with milk (almond milk for me). It makes the chai SUPER creamy. The mix itself is on the sweeter side of chais, so if you're the type that prefers spicy chais, this one may not be for you. It definitely isn't for my friends, but I can't get enough of this. One thing I would recommend doing is pouring the mix into some kind of air-tight container (or a regular container). The bag has no reclosable top, so if you accidentally tip that bag over, there's no going back...unless. You sweep it off the ground. I guess that's always an option.OVERALL, I would highly recommend this stuff. It's honestly one of my FAVORITE drinks to make at home and/or buy in a cafe (did I mention a cafe I go to uses this exact mix?)5The Orca Spice is a nice sugar free option chai and impossible to find in ...The Orca Spice is a nice sugar free option chai and impossible to find in stores. This does have sugar substitute in it so, you can't add your own version of sweetener unfortunately (unless you want it really sweet I guess). I've made this with just water and it's fine as it does have a milky appearance. Adding milk or other type of milk substitute will make it taste richer though.4My favorite of all the chia mixes I've tried.Found this chia at a local crepe cafe and I really enjoyed it a lot. I loved it as a latte with the super frothy milk ( reg milk or even almond milk). --- I bought a milk frother on amazon too and I think its excellent. What I think of this chia blend- I like this chia blend much much more then multiple others that I have tried both liquid, powdered and loose leaf tea. I've tried may of the highly recommended brands when you do an online search for 'best chia tea or best chia latte.' This one our performed for my taste buds and is much easier to keep and make.I really like that it is a powder. I don't have to worry about a liquid being refrigerated and using it up in 3 days like it recommends. Also I can put a couple scoops in a zip lock or how ever much and take it on vacations/ day trip/ etc. Im not worried about it spoiling either.I enjoy that it has a lot of the ingredients in the powder. I don't need to add sugar like I would do to the tea. I don't have to add milk or a milk substitute if I don't have access. If I just have hot water I will just use that and stir it well. How I do like to prepare mine ---what you'll need1. Tall / deep mug that is microwave proof (Why should it be deep? because we will be frothing the milk and it will expand in height significantly)2. A GOOD milk frother - I will do a review on the one I really like - I found one I hate and one I lovvvvve!!!!3. A version of the Chia or your chia of choice (I like the tiger spice but Id like to try the decaf one or the sugar free one some day)4. Reg milk of any %, or any milk subNote on reg milk, the higher the % of fat I believe the easier it is for the milk to get frothy/bubbly and remain bubbly over time. Also the higher fat just can taste better for some people.Note on milk subs--- I've found you can froth almond milk and soy. Although you really must have a good frother and use it correctly but it can turn out great esp with almond milk.Directions.Poor whatever milk to about 1/3rd full into your tall/deep microwave safe mug.Microwave your milk (don't boil it but get it hot)Take your milk frother and move it up and down in the liquid towards the top. It will start to gain bubbles. Continue until it has at least doubled insize or as big as you want it.Add a scoop (1.5 is good for me) or more if you like of the powder and use the frother again to mix it in.Done!5
