Wonderful!!!This stuff is wonderful. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that it needs to be cut at least a couple of inches longer than the bandaged/wound area... maybe a little more. It's a really nice not to have to suffer the pain of taking adhesive tapes off to change the bandage. Be aware though this IS a 6pk... that's a LOT of bandage... but, hey, it has a really long shelf-life! :-) 5So Much Better Than Adhesive BandagesThese tube bandages are wonderful for slow healing wounds, when repeated contact with adhesive bandages would damage skin. Or for those allergic to adhesives. They work best if the wound area is slightly sticky, so the dressing pad can stay in the right place. My surgeon likes Manuka Honey. In the ER the doc recommended Aquaphor, but any treatment that creates a slightly tacky surface would do. The photo on the box shows exactly how they work. You just gather the tube into a ring and ease it over the pad, then carefully stretch it out. The two sizes are Adult and Child. I'm a tall woman, and a five foot piece (the size that comes in the box) cuts into four sections that reach from my ankle to my knee. They can be hand washed about four times before they get too stretched out. The pressure they exert is mild, but well able to hold the wound dressings in place. They're very comfortable. I forget that I'm wearing them. 5Great product for high movement areas.I'd been having major problems keeping a dressing in place in a high movement spot on my forearm. Even "Coban" type self adherent bandages didn't work. Holdtite solved my problems. Beware, it does tend to shrink/shorten with time. This can create a problem if the wound is close to a joint - elbow, wrist... Begin with a longer length than recommended. Best to over-measure the first time, get it perfect the second time. I also found it necessary to hold the dressing in place with a short length of paper tape. 5Works well on joints and legs.Wonderful replacement for tape on large sores or for sensitive skin. I have been using it to hold nonstick pads on diabetic ulcers for almost a year. Not only does it hold well but no more agony of tape causednew sores. 5MULTI-PURPOSE GREAT PRODUCTThis review may not be suitable for all readers but, if it helps one other person I've succeeded. Don't write long detailed reviews so bear with me. My husband is battling cancer one of the nasty effects he is suffering in lymphodema (think edema- swelling) in the groin area (think private parts) The swelling was uncomfortable, then painful as it caused chafing & raw areas. They make a medical type of support for the area(not jock strap) tried one & found it binding with no stretch. The doctors offered nothing & one nite as I searched my inventory I found a box of the CURAD TUBE and thought "why not try?" It is soft, it stretches to fit and retreats back to support lightly. My husband was comfortable and the chafing relieved. I soon ran out & scurried to 3 pharmacies, NONE carried this product (few even knew what I was asking for) Home & Amazon with quick delivery & relief was restored. This is not a typical use of this multi-purpose item but nothing short of a relief-miracle for my husband. 5Godsend in managing woundsThe Holdtite Stretch Bandage is a godsend in managing wounds for my 92-year-old dad--fragile skin and blood thinners. I just use a non-stick pad underneath the stretch bandage. At first, we only had one box. After this order, I can cut the bandage longer so that both the pad and bandage stay in place. It doesn't tear my dad's skin and is comfortable for him to wear. I am so glad that the 6-pack was available on Amazon as this isn't in any local stores. 5Great alternative to tegaderm for roadrashSo I took a spill on my bike and got sanded by some 400 grit pavement for quite a while and earned some gnarly roadrash. While I was laying on the couch researching ways to expedite the healing process I came across tegaderm left and right. I also had used non-stick gauze on a previous knee laceration and was comfortable with falling back on it if kneeded. So I tried the film out and I'll be honest, it worked great on the patches that were located on parts of the body with minimal bending and curviness (hip, thigh) but they suffered on the tighter spots (shins, forearms) so I still had to rely on the pads. In the past I've tried to keep them in place with either tape or stretch gauze, but wanted something better. Thus I came upon this netting and I have to say that if you are using pads on your extremities, this works well. The downside is that due to the location of my wounds, the stuff likes to bunch up, which can result in your bandage sliding. After a day or two I found that if I either rolled the ends back onto themselves like cuffs that they stayed better. Or you can place another smaller section on top of the end that wants to migrate. Anyway, that's my two cents. Hope it helps. 5Must have for medicine cabinet or first aid kitsOMG, this is so handy for bandaging scrapes on little ones, fits perfect for arms and legs. Also works great for anyones hands. I accidentally picked up a pan that I had used to cook something in the oven and burned 2 fingers and a small patch on my palm...the burns were white immediately, I used some aloe, a gauze bandage and a length of this with a hole cut in for my thumb to go through and 2 days later you could barely tell I was burned. The net kept the gauze in place and gave a buffer for the ice bag used to cool it all down. I used some of the smaller size net for the 2 fingers and gauze over aloe. So glad that I have this in my medicine cabinet. 5So useful. Just cut off the length you needSo useful. Just cut off the length you need. Holds bandages in place when you can't (or don't want to) put tape on a bandage. Wonderful for holding a piece of gauze over an opening in the skin, when the skin is very thin and fragile. Never knew such a product existed, until my husband was in the hospital. I now have several boxes in my house, and will not ever be without it again. 5Best, most versatile medical product there isAwesome medical product. My husband got ill and when he got out of the hospital he came home with an iv pic line in his arm and was paranoid about the tubes. I had some of this product in an old first aid kit that we made into a sleeve to help hold the tubes. It worked so well I bought a whole bunch more (more than I really needed) and have since used it for many other minor wounds. When my kids need a bandaid now they need a sleeve to hold it in place :) overall works awesome for so many different things and I have never been able to find it in a store. 5
