Good enoughProduct arrived promptly as loose sheets without a box which is great since it saves packing materials and the environment. The product is called 'Better Breath' is identical in size and shape to the 'Breath Right' originals product but the strip is a bit weaker so it does not open nostrils as effectively as the original. This is why only 4 stars. If nose cleansed with a bit of alcohol before placing strip - it will stay on for the entire night just as the original. So far I am happy with the results considering the low price and the savings versus Breath Right. If the manufacturer would reinforce the middle strip to make it stronger for a future version, it would be worth 5 stars. 4Hand-written greeting too?! Nice.Arrived with a pleasant surprise. I Chinese greeting card with a hand-written thank you along with several ways to contact the seller if I was unhappy. But I was not unhappy, I was happy. As per the card instructions I had a 'smileday' from the 'happy-to-day' line of miniature Chinese greeting cards. I also now know what the phrase 'happy everyday' looks like in hand-written Mandarin. I'm assuming Mandarin anyway, maybe I can ask someone down at the club with a Chinese symbol of peace tattoo to confirm for me. I think I'm more excited about this piece of Chinese culture than I am about the nasal strips.Oh yeah, the review. Obviously a great value, these are less than half what I could find even generic. They seem to not be quite as springy as the breathe right ones are but not much worse. Was happy to find out that they stick really well which is usually a bigger concern for me than the springy-ness. In fact they stick more like band-aids than nasal strips so in the morning I have to peel them off carefully. Though I've never had them un-stick at night after at least 10 nights after having at least a 20% stick-failure rate with most others I've tried. So for people that don't got time to wash their oily noses to make nasal strips stay on, these might work better for you. They also aren't transparent so it looks like you are wearing a band-aid on your face. The price is right though, these are a great value. If these and an authentic greeting from across the world don't make you slightly more 'happy everyday' then, well....we have different criteria for happy. 5I'd agree with some other reviewers that the adhesive on these is probably not as good as name brandsI can't sleep without nasal strips but those things are expensive. The adhesive is nowhere near as strong, only adhering if you thoroughly clean any trace of oil from your skin before applying, and even then they sometimes come off at night. However, that's OK, because I'd rate the actual spring tension at about half what the name brand has, so they don't actually hold your air passages open as well either.They kind of sort of work, sometimes. Well enough that I won't waste money by throwing the whole package away, but I would never buy them again. I am glad I read the reviews and decided to try them again.Well worth the price. 4Better than the stuff you can get at the store, and way cheaperMy boyfriend has nasal problems, so it's hard for him to sleep unless he wears a nose strip. For a while, he'd drop $10 at the store for a box of 30. $120 a year just for nose strips is kind of crazy, considering they're one-time use. He tried the name brands, store brands, but they were all pretty expensive and worked basically the same. He found these, ordered them, and they work great.Sometimes it would look painful as he would take one of them off, but the adhesive on these is much gentler, while still sticking well and doing a good job. These are fairly large, so if you have a large nose then they will work great. He has a smaller nose, so there's a lot of coverage he says it's not a problem. If you use these regularly, save money and get these. You won't be disappointed. 5Better Breathe vs Breathe Right ComparisonI cannot recommend this brand. I regularly use the Breathe Right brand and was happy to see a cheaper alternative. When I first tried Better Breathe, my instinct was that it did not perform as well but realized that this evaluation was subjective. After several uses I decided to buy a box of the Breathe Right strips and do a direct comparison. If you look at the photo you'll see that Better Breathe is either a cost reduced product made by Breathe Right or a blatant copycat. The adhesive on the Breathe Right strip is more sticky but I had no problems with the Better Breathe strips if I washed my nose with soap and water before putting them on. The Breathe Right strip is more "springy" when you bend it like you would normally put it over your nose. I alternated putting on and taking off each type of strip several times and concluded that the Breathe Right noticeably opened up my nasal passage making it easier to breathe where the Better Breathe strip did not. In fact, I put on and took off the Better Breathe strip several times and could not tell the difference between having it on or off. Being an engineer, I was curious about the difference in the 2 products so measured the thicknesses. The Better Breathe strip measured 0.30mm while the Breathe Right strip measured 0.45mm or 50% more. This explains why the Breathe Right strip has more spring and opens up your nasal passage better. I'm disappointed that this lower priced product came close to matching the name brand one and could have done it by simply using a slightly thicker strip. They should have worked as hard copying the product design as they did copying the package. 1easy to apply and they stay in placeI bought this product in April, and the strips were very flexible, easy to apply and they stay in place. I purchased this item again last week. The latest shipment contains strips that are thicker and stiffer, not flexible at all, and often do not stay in place through the night. I repurchased this product perhaps 4-5 times. Sometimes I get the flexible ones that are very similar to the Breathe Right strips, and other times I get the hard, stiff ones. I did verify that all purchases "Ships from and sold by BLUE SALES." Quality control is very poor with this group, so it's pot luck. I'll be returning this latest purchase, and asking for an explanation in the differences in quality. 3Good, with a little mod(ification).Price is right, and I find the adhesive every bit as strong as the name brand in stores; following the guidelines of washing oils from the face make a big difference.The plastic strip that provides the 'spring' to help open the nostrils is a little weak, and I have found I can overcome much of that by reverse bending twice, across the center, about 3/8" apart, so that the two ends are bent away from my face before I secure them.It would help if the mfr provided a somewhat thicker piece of PE or whatever plastic they use, that would provide stronger action. 4Why didn't I listen to the other reviews?Why oh why didn't I listen to the other reviews? These are nowhere near as good as the name brand. The cost savings doesn't justify the lower quality.They do work, but only just barely. These are also very large. I'd call them extra-large, not large. Name brand is 6cm long, these are 6.5cm. Doesn't sound like a lot of difference, but it is. If you have a larger nose, that's good. If you have a regular sized or smaller nose, not so good.Didn't have a problem with the adhesive, that worked fine. Just wash, rinse, and dry your nose before applying.They are not very strong, which is the primary issue. They don't exert much force, so they don't open your passages as much as the name brands do. It's a noticeable difference.In a nutshell, you definitely get what you pay for with these. Lower quality product for a much lower price. I'd use them if I didn't have any other options, because they are better than nothing. These are not a ripoff because they are very inexpensive, but it is worth it to spend a little more and get a better product. 2
