Putrid Smelled completely rancid. I ve never had an Aura Cacia product smell that way. Makes me think it may be fake. 1The smell isn't great I used some orange sweet/citrus sinensis in body butter, I also tried it, mixed w carrier oil, on the body, and without carrier oil in the tub. I love a good orange scent, but this is not it, unfortunately. It's best in the tub, with some other essential oils mixed in, but I thought it ruined the body butter (I normally like Aura Cacia's products). The price was excellent. 2Great on eczema and so many other uses to! I learned that Roman chamomile is great for treating eczema, so I bought some to add into my homemade concoction. Roman chamomile has many other uses as well. I love essential oils because they are a natural and effective means of treating and preventing may ailments.There are actually two varieties of chamomile: German chamomile and Roman chamomile (also known as English chamomile).Today, Roman chamomile oil is known for its ability to soothe skin problems and is often added to body care products. It is also beneficial in relieving muscle discomfort after exercise, making it a beneficial addition to massage oils.Other uses of Roman chamomile oil include: Relief for migraines, headaches, and nervous complaints when used in vapor therapy. Simply mix with a carrier oil and put in a burner or diffuser. Alleviating allergies, colic, insomnia, addiction, and muscle painwhen blended in a massage oil or diluted in your bathwater. Soothing diaper rash, burns, and sunburn when added to creams and lotions. Helping treat dental abscesses and tonsillitis when mixed in water and gargled as a mouthwash.Roman chamomile oil is widely celebrated for its anti-inflammatory properties. It also has anti-spasmodic, anti-septic, antidepressant, antibiotic, carminative, analgesic, tonic, bactericidal, and anti-infectious effect. These beneficial properties make it efficient in relieving or treating conditions, such as:3,4 Allergies. Diffuse a diluted mix through your home before the start of (and even throughout) allergy season. You can also apply it on the bottom of your feet or inhale it directly when allergies flare up. Skin irritations. It can help calm or treat acne, rashes, eczema, wounds, dermatitis, and dry and itchy skin. Infections caused by bacteria and fungi. When digested, it can kill all sorts of intestinal worms. However, I advise consulting a healthcare practitioner before ingesting this (or any type of) essential oil. You can also apply it to your hair to kill mites and lice, keeping your hair and scalp free from infections. Muscle spasms, crams, and tension. Just massage onto the affected area with a mild carrier oil, like coconut oil. Arthritis and rheumatism. It smells like fresh picked roses and has such great properties when it comes to hydration of the skin (especially mature skin) helps with eliminating wrinkles, fine lines and dark circles/spots. I use avocado carrier oil to cleanse my face then I put a small amount of this rose absolute and jojoba oil as my moisturizer. It lasts all day, keeping my face nice and hydrated throughout the entire day and into the next morning! I highly recommend this to anyone who needs more hydration or has mature skin or both. 5Pleasant but light scent Pleasant but lighter jasmine fragrance. Have only used in diffuser and once topically applying to hands mixed with carrier oil. 4Great scent but froze during shipping :( Love the scent and that it is diluted with Jojoba oil so you can put it on directly in your skin. I used to this for a rosewater toner spray and the scent continues to linger. I also used several drops to make a diy rose body scrub and the fragrance is amazing. The only problem is that it froze during shipping and the oil spilled all over :( However, I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it. If you live on the east coast or somewhere with freezing temperatures, opt to purchase in-store (Whole Foods has Aura Cacia essential oils) until the weather thaws out. 4BEWARE FAKE OILS. FAKE. They smell like absolute garbage, there is no trace of authentic essential oils. How can you tell? First of all, the inner caps on these are WHITE, whereas authentic aura cacia bottles have BLUE inner caps. Second, you will get an unpleasant feeling smelling these and maybe even a slight headache or nausea. RETURNING immediately. Not work the risk, order directly from company website. 1I received a rancid bottle- I love the brand Aura Cacia, and have purchased their Rose Absolute, elsewhere. This rating is not for Aura Cacia, nor their Rose Absolute essential oil. ( which I think is wonderful, and why I made this purchase.) However.... I am very disappointed with this particular bottle of oil. Because this bottle stinks and I think the oil has turned rancid.. I can t help but wonder how long it s been sitting in their warehouse. I will be requesting a return, shorty. 1true jasmine scent I love this brand for the price as well as the quality. It is mixed with jojoba oil so it is ready to use. A little goes a long ways. This particular jasmine is the kind I remember in the gardens when I was a child, but is not the soapy scent you usually find in perfumes. It works very well for itchy skin conditions. 5not all floral sweetness, that's for sure I should point out that this is the first time I've bought jasmine oil. It does smell like jasmine and reminds me of jasmine plants I've encountered, but be aware that it may not be exactly what you expect. It wasn't what I expected.Aside from the floral jasmine smell that I'm used to in jasmine-scented products, there's also an undertone of what I can only describe as decay. A sort of muskiness. I've noticed it sometimes with real jasmine flowers, but always assumed it was from the potting soil or fertilizer in the pot. When you get jasmine-scented products, it's only the floral scent and none of that decay note. This definitely has it.So, I wonder - is this simply an untempered jasmine flower smell, whereas perfumes are designed to reduce it? Or does the plant decay somewhat during the processing, and infuse the oil with that scent? I've no idea. Or did I get a spoiled bottle?Also, I know that there are different kinds of jasmine, and I had read reviews of both before choosing this one as most likely to be the floral I was hoping for. I'd read some reviews of jasmine that smelled soured or bad, and nobody mentioned the issue with this one.Which is not to say that I haven't used it. Like I said, it still reminds me of the plants I've smelled. I tend to use this with a hint of sweet orange, which seems to cut the muskiness a bit. Also, I never use it full strength. I've used a few drops (usually with a drop of orange) in the diffuser. I also mixed up a batch of sweet almond oil with this and a hint of the orange to use as perfume. But it has to be diluted, for sure, and I'm never really perfectly happy with it.Next time I get jasmine, I'll try another kind. I'm not sure I'll use the rest of this bottle. 3
