I am 72 years old and have eaten Mayhall jelly since childhood from the best of cooks in SW GA. This indeed is rich and delicious! 5Five StarsBought as a gift for someone else who now cannot get enough of this flavor! 5Great flavor and not too sweet.Great mix of fruits in this jam. The flavor is perfect! I ve had it on a bagel and on crackers and am looking forward to trying it on a PB&J sandwich. 5Just passable mayhaw jellyThere is something off about the texture of this product, almost like it's whipped jelly. I grew up on mayhaw, and I don't have much use for other fruits in my jelly. I go through a lot of it, so it is nice that this product is available on subscribe and save. However, this tastes like there is some other kind of fruit cut in with the mayhaw. This does not taste like my grandmother used to make! 3A jar full of memoriesMy wife s family grew up on Mayhaw jelly. Found this at Amazon. Bought it. Now when the family comes to our house, every breakfast is filled with delicious jelly and memory and stories of growing up. Makes a great gift idea, too! Have a jar of it in our refrigerator and if it gets low, I reorder. 5Surprisingly Good!I bought this to serve featured in a dessert I made for book club as we were discussing Susan Crandall's The Myth of Perpetual Summer, since mayhaw jelly is mentioned in the story numerous times. I was hoping the jelly wasn't too bad, but it was actually very tasty! I'll be ordering more. 5Overpriced and Just not Terribly ImpressiveThis jam is good enough for a jar bought off the shelf of my local grocery for a fracture of the price. I love rhubarb, and I certainly love strawberries, and there's nothing better than strawberry-rhubarb pie, so I expected a lot from this jam and was at least slightly disappointed. If it hadn't cost so much, I would probably have been more inclined to rate it higher and even purchase again, but not at this price. 3Frog Jam WOW this is the best.Wow this is the best, the sweetness from the figs and raspberries is perfect, not to sweet or in need of more. The ginger adds a quality to the flavor that complements it just right, complex but doesn't over power the other flavors. And the orange adds a slight tang to lift up the flavor. All notes can be identified beautifully. A new favorite of mine, if not my new favorite. It's good on a PB&J, on top of crackers with some goat's cheese, toast, and so much else. Also it arrived in a timely manner, and packaged well, thank you. 5Just Like My Mama sFirst, let me say that I grew up in Colquitt, Georgia ( Mayhaw Capital of the World and home of the Mayhaw Festival), so I know what Mayhaw jelly is supposed to taste like. I have since moved into an area of the country where no one s even heard of a Mayhaw before. I tried another brand of store-bought Mayhaw jelly several years ago and it was too sweet and didn t have enough mayhaw flavor. May as well have been sweet water jelly. I decided to give this brand a try, because my mama hasn t made Mayhaw jelly in several years and I have run out. I didn t hold out much hope, but I was incredibly surprised. It has just the right amount of sweetness and just enough Mayhaw flavor that the tartness doesn t overwhelm you. This company has a customer for life (or until my mama makes some more of her jelly.) 5
