Great product!After reading much information on compression legwear I ordered this item in size XL for use during an overseas flight. I ordered this size because I use a Strassburg sock and found that I had to return the first size I ordered and get a larger size, so I went big on the compression stocking. I could have ordered a size Large since my calf measures 15" (see chart on packaging) but I learned my lesson with the Strassburg sock and ordered XL which was good for up to a 16" calf. I chose the open toe style for the sandals I'd be wearing. This legwear was perfect! The fabric is sturdy (not particularly sheer though) and held up to my tugging and positioning; you do have to work at getting this type of product on. Insert your foot and maneuver the stocking so the fitted heel conforms to your heel and then pull the rest of the stocking up. I then folded down the upper band so it would be below my knee and folded back the toe end so it was hidden under my sandal. They were very comfortable during my flight; my legs felt great and I had no swelling. I even wore them on days when our tour required a lot of walking. She is very pleased with them. 5Good productWorks as advertized 4Sizing not consistent with what you get via an actual pharmacy....I've used Activa branded compression socks in the past but had to buy them via the pharmacy at my doctor's office where they are VERY expensive. Upon receiving these, even though the box is the same, and the size says it's the same, they are not the same stockings. These are shorter and run much smaller in size than the ones I've bought at two different pharmacies to date. My doctor told me that there are A LOT of knock-off counterfeit stockings on sale online and most likely this is what I got. This is not to blame the seller necessarily because he said in many cases the resellers are getting the counterfeits and are not even aware they are being sold fake items, themselves. Either way, while the box is exactly the same as what I paid more for at the pharmacy, again, what's in the box is not the same, so I will have to stick to just paying more at the physical shop than online and take the chance again with these.I would encourage resellers to please make SURE what you're getting is authentic merchandise too, if you possibly can. 2Do no buyChoose another vendor going back to Alice Walker these not worth money and sizing way off !!!!!!!! 2I do not like the seam across the top edge of the toesThese socks are comfy. They are a bit long for my legs. I am 5'4". I do not like the seam across the top edge of the toes. The seam irritates a corn that has developed where the seam hits. I wish Activa socks/stockings were seamless. If Activa ever does develop seamless socks, I will try them. 3Four StarsGood fit. 4
